The Book of Moab (Verses 1-3)
Verse 1: Burning bones into ashes Spirit of revenge that does not stop even after death God's wrath (fire of destruction)
①The palace of Gerioth was burned with fire ② King Nebuchadnezzar conquered Moab and cut off the heads of the judges and princes and returned them to their fathers
The sin of Judah (verses 4-5)
The nations are the laws of nature, sin against the conscience and natural feelings, God is righteous
Judas and Israel are guilty of against God's will. Even God's people will be judged if they sin.
Verse 4: Forsaking the law of God, which is in the Ten Commandments, and not keeping the ordinances in it, and being deceived by lies, vain idols, etc.
Verse 5: B.C. 586 B.C. (Destruction of the Southern Kingdom of Judah) Nebuchadnezzar's army burns Jerusalem's palace with fire.
Israel's rites (verses 6-8)
Even though he realizes the seriousness of the spiritual rebellion and returns after repenting, God does not condone Israel's corruption and sins.
① He who oppresses the poor criticizes the Creator (Proverbs 14:31).
②The purchase of a judge with a pair of shoes, something insignificant.
③ coveting dust [makes the head sprinkle ashes (to mourn). trampled in the dust. Even dusting is a waste]
(4) Preventing the humble from raising and asserting legitimate issues.
⑤ The lust for Is followed.父子 went to a prostitute in the temple of Ashdadoth (same woman).
⑥ I lay down on the outerwear as collateral. (In Exodus 22:25-27, Deuteronomy 24:12-13, it was returned before sunset so that I could sleep at night)
⑦ “All the altars” = They oppressed them by drinking wine bought with money earned from unrighteous taxes in the temple of idols.
The Book of Israel (verses 9-12)
① Destroyed the Amorites, the strongest of the Canaanites, before Is.
A cedar tree in appearance and an oak tree in strength (Numbers 13:22, 32-33) However, he destroyed all their fruits and roots.

The inevitable judgment (verses 13-15)
God will weigh Is down with the weight of sin. The fast runners, the strong, and the mighty warriors will be powerless before God's judgment. The bravery of trained archers, infantrymen, and cavalry (every disaster is war) is of no avail in this calamity.
Chapter 2 The central message of the whole prophecy
God's judgment cannot be reversed because Is ignored and rejected God's repeated graces and blessings.
The present day can be called the day of grace, the age of grace
(Because He brings salvation and glory to all who believe in Christ as well as the people of Is).
The only person who escapes from this grace is death.
