title and oil

I met a high school classmate for the first time in 34 years while holding a meeting at the Osan-ri Fasting and Prayer Center last week. I started living a religious life for two years, but while attending church as a moderately attending church member, my body became weak due to cirrhosis of the liver. We pray earnestly for him during the meeting and give him a letter when he comes down. Roughly, the contents are as follows:
“Our meeting is God’s work. I listened to the sermon with the heart of meeting Jesus, and at dawn I was laid on my hands and was healed.
What I was grateful for was that people who did not smile smiled, and those who could barely attend meetings because of their weakness received grace, attended meetings for more than 10 hours a day, did not feel tired, did not get sick, and had peace of mind.
Hallelujah!
I thought.
Hey! Now, I can't tell you how grateful I was to think that this friend is changing from being ill and being healed, from the shell to the kernel, from the outer man to the inner man, the fleshly man to the spiritual man, and from the Ilgam church to the worker church.
That is why we have decided to title today’s text ‘Lantern and Oil’.
‘Back’ is the shell, and ‘oil’ is the kernel. You can't light a fire with just the shell. There must be oil.
Today’s text is known as “the parable of the ten virgins.”
These are the words of Jesus' parable given to the saints who live with hope in heaven in this world.
If you analyze Jesus' sermons, it's very plain. Even the words with deep spiritual depth were not expressed philosophically or theologically, but were spoken plainly and easily.
If you look at that
1) There are many sermons based on the words of the Old Testament. In addition,
2) He spoke about extremely ordinary daily life events.
Today's text is also talking about things that can and can be seen often in our lives when a virgin bachelor gets married and a married woman gets married. Here, “at that time” refers to the day when Jesus returns or the day the saints stand before the Lord, that is, the day of judgment, the time of judgment. At that time, the question is whether everyone will go to heaven or not. Moreover, the ten virgins who went out with lamps were not unbelievers but churchgoers. Because the bridegroom is Jesus. Unbelievers do not believe in Jesus, so there is no reason to go out to meet Him. The important thing I want to talk about in today's text is that all 10 virgins of the church went out to meet Jesus, 5 virgins had oil, and 5 virgins did not.
Dear saints,
The saints who are preparing to welcome Jesus, the bridegroom, must have oil along with their lamps. Jews have weddings at night. Therefore, you will necessarily need oil with your back.
So, what does oil mean in today's text?
(1) Gender.
..Leviticus 4:3 The Anointed Priest
..6:22 anointed among the descendants of Aaron
..1 Samuel 9:16 He anointed Saul
..2 Samuel 2:4 David was anointed with oil
..Genesis 28:18 Jacob set a stone as a pillar and anointed it with oil, and he named the place Bethel (House of God). The anointing of oil was consecrated.
(2) Healing.
..Mark 6:13 He anointed and healed many sick people.
..James 5:14 Pray, anointed with oil in the name of the Lord.
..In the Old Testament, oil was anointed for the gender of one's status. In the days of Jesus, anointing oil was used for cleanliness.
⑶ It is being born again.
..In this age, you must anoint yourself for being born again. To be born again is to become the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is expressed like wind, like fire, like water, and like oil. The problem is that there are members who have received the Holy Spirit in the church, and there are members who have not received the Holy Spirit. If you go to church, you spiritually enter the class of virgins. However, if you do not receive the Holy Spirit, if you do not have oil, you will be left behind when you meet the bridegroom Jesus. Therefore, you must receive the Holy Spirit. Oil is not something that can be shared. The experience of the Holy Spirit is for each individual. No one can replace you. Who can you trust for me? Never. Likewise, each of us must prepare the oil.
“Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
If you change this
“Behold, now is the time to receive the Holy Spirit; behold, now is the time to receive power.”
Dear saints,
Does everyone who believes in Jesus is crowned?
no. If you are faithful to death, you will receive the crown of life, the worker who fought the good fight will be given the crown of righteousness, and those who have done much evangelism will be given the crown of pride.
Are all the wise five virgins who attended church?
The five wise virgins must prepare oil.
If you only step on the temple courtyard, you will be in the class of the five wise virgins.
