are you dead? Did you live? (Romans 6:1-11)
Frog side dishes must be dead, not alive. If the frog side dish is alive, you should run away and not be caught.
To be dead means to be unresponsive to any stimulus. In this sense, Christians are said to be dead to sin. It means that there is no response to sin.
Ah! How many times are we living today, reacting to sin? How sensitively are they to live with sin, not dead to sin?
1. Modern people who cannot overcome their sinful nature
When they go to school, middle school students who bully and rob their friends who cannot resist because they have no strength eventually made the two young girls commit suicide. The mayor of Yangsan committed suicide by hanging on the same day that he was to be investigated by the prosecution for taking a bribe from a real estate agent.
In Korea, an average of 35 people commit suicide every day last year. In this way, sin is alive, and the life that must be lived by its power leads to death. But why do Christians say that they are dead, unable to respond to sin?
2. Change of status
I saw a report recently that South Korea would allow dual citizenship. Aren't Christians supposed to have dual citizenship too? can think This is because our status has changed to be a child of God, but we are still living in the realm of the one who holds the power of the air. However, this kind of thinking is Satan's delusion of us, but it is not.
Our nationality was transferred from judgment and death to life the moment we accepted Jesus as the Christ.
There was a species called Ultigi in a country called Ultigi. This servant was a servant who was loyal to the country. And he was a loyal follower who always obeyed the king's words. On the day that the loyal servant Ultigi received the king's order and decided to pay tribute to the country called Colleri served by Erleri, he decided to pay tribute through his servant Ultigi. He went to pay tribute to a country called Collery, and his eyes lit up when he saw the people living freely and peacefully in the country of Collery. In his own country, his thoughts were not respected or allowed to live according to his own thoughts, whereas in the country of Coleri, all the people were free to live according to their thoughts and actions and prospered. So Ultigi appealed to the King of Corleri. Although he came to pay tribute as an envoy, he said that he wanted to live as a citizen of the country of Kolleri. Then the king of Corleri granted his plea. gave him citizenship of the country of choleri.
Upon hearing this news, the king of the country of Erleri was furious and visited the country of Corleri directly to find the wolf. And I met an elf. Ultigi bowed his head in front of King Erleri, who shouted at Ultigi that he was a traitor and commanded that he would take him to his country and give him the most severe punishment. As soon as he heard this sound, he felt startled and afraid, but he raised his head and spoke softly. In the past, you were able to control me at will, but now I am no longer your servant, but in the country of Erleri, I am a dead idiot. went out
That's where we are.
It was the image of us who did not rebel against Alleri and lived knowing that it was the right life. This is what we were before.
But now, through our faith, our status has changed from children of sin to children of life and children of God.
This is to say that we are dead to sin.
Once again, if the king of Erleri comes and imposes sin and says this and that, we have to answer like this. “Turn it off” this means that sin will never reign again.
3. About old habits that cannot be thrown away
Misconceptions about being dead to sin

4. How would you like to live?
Where there is sin, there is grace. - A person who lives by aiding the sin
God's grace is not an excuse for sinning.
- It's an unchangeable situation right now, but it will change someday. God will change me
- I said God is love. No matter what sins I commit, God will embrace me with love and forgive me.
Sin still remains with us, but we do not have the power to become slaves to sin. because he's dead
Now our Master is neither me nor sin, but Christ.
God no longer treats us as sinners, but regards us as His children, just like Jesus.

How would you like to live?
If a person who walks the same path every day falls into a pit in the same place every day, why? It was the force that could not escape the pit that led the man. The power that cannot avoid that path on its own is within it.
Knowing that we are, our Christ is leading our way. He is guiding us on a path we cannot escape on our own.
