Title Are you in the faith?
Contents
Recently, a large-scale recall has taken place due to a defect in the automobile of the Toyota Motor Company of Japan. It would be in trouble if there was a risk of an accident because a car that was supposed to be safe was defective. So is life. It would be a pity if you worked hard and went in the wrong direction. Inspection is required. The Apostle Paul said, “Test yourselves and prove whether you have faith.”
What is my faith? What about our faith when adversity and hardships approach? I didn't know it normally, but when adversity and hardships approach, my image and personality are revealed. A person's size is revealed when things don't go as planned. Faith is revealed in the same way. There are times when you have to endure hardship and make a decision. Even if there is damage, we must stand up firmly when we know the will of God. We must always look to God and have constant faith. How is my faith when I am at peace? When you are at peace, your faith may actually go down. Because it is peaceful, I stop praying and stop serving. Sadly, David had good faith during the war. But when you start living a comfortable life in the palace, you go downhill. How is my faith when things are going well? There are people whose faith rises up when they suffer, and there are people who go down when they prosper. When things go well, mistaken for my skills is life. Be careful when receiving compliments. The first is humility and the second is humility. So we need to test our beliefs.
1. We must verify whether Jesus is in us (verse 5).
When Jesus was 12 years old, Joseph and Mary were on their way back home from the Passover feast, and when they looked around, the child Jesus was nowhere to be seen. I thought they were walking with me (Luke 2:44). We go back three days and meet at the temple. You must not know that you do not exist even though you do not have it. When you have Jesus in your heart, you can smell the fragrance of Jesus. The thoughts of Jesus, the words of Jesus, and the actions of Jesus become like them. Values change. The apostle Paul's original name was Saul. He was the one who persecuted those who believed in Jesus, but after meeting Jesus, he confesses that whether he lives or dies, he will live and die for the Lord (Romans 14:8). Believers must be in the faith. To be in faith is to be in Christ (John 15:5). Then you can bear fruit.
2. We must check whether we are living right (verse 7).
The Apostle Paul wanted the Corinthians to do good, not evil. To do good is to live by faith first. Sin is not believing. The object of God's judgment is unbelief (John 3:18). Unbelief is disobedience to God. The second is to live obediently (Acts 5:29). Whom do you obey? determines whose servant you are. Life deserves obedience to God. Obedience, but not imitation. We must align our words with our actions and obey Him completely. The third is to live with love (1 John 4:11). If you truly know what God has done for you, you will do God's will. The Son of God was sacrificed for our sins (1 John 4:10). what is the offering? to bleed to death. Who could die for me? The Lord tells us to love one another. Because I have been loved by God. We deserve to love each other. Faith is not knowing much, but doing love. It is to love not only in word and tongue, but also in deed and truth.
We shouldn't let our precious lives go as they go. No matter how good a car is, it is dangerous if it has only a smudged appearance and has problems with its functions. Your life may be at stake. need to check. And you have to fix the broken part. Don't let it go. We must be spiritually awake. Now is the time to wake up from sleep (1 Peter 4:7).
