It is the joy of God for his people to rejoice and give honor and glory before Jehovah God. In the Korean church, the harvest festivals are the Harvest Festival and Thanksgiving. The Harvest Festival (the Day of Seven Weeks, the Day of Firstfruits, and the Day of Pentecost) is a feast observed after harvesting field crops produced in early summer. Korea's agriculture is similar to that of Israel, and wheat and barley were harvested in early summer.
How to keep the Harvest Festival?
Give a voluntary gift as you have been blessed.
As blessed! It is to give according to the grace received. There is no need to recognize people, no need to worry. Those who receive much give thanks a lot, those who receive little give little, and those who realize the abundance of grace give thanks abundantly.
With all your might and a willing heart! It means to participate with a happy heart and a natural mind. As if giving a gift to a precious person, we come out before God and offer it up. Of what I sowed and reaped, I give it to God, who sent and protected the early and latter rains.
with your neighbor
With your children! Among the neighbors, the closest neighbor is the family, and among the family members, the children.
With Nobi! People of the godly state do not abuse slaves or exclude them from the faith.
A Levite in the city! The Levites are responsible for the spiritual affairs of the people of that city or city, and those who do not receive a portion diligently examine and bless the people.
Even strangers, orphans, and widows are to be kept happy together.
in your chosen place
God's Temple Before the God of the Lord! According to the Mosaic Law, Israel must meet three times a year regardless of the circumstances. It must be shown before God in the place God has chosen.
with joy
The Mid-Autumn Festival should be celebrated with joy by everyone. There are people who have experienced sorrow or suffering, but like the prophet Habakkuk, we must learn to rejoice in God. We need to learn to share the joy God gives us, not just for ourselves, but with our neighbors. Only God is the true joy of man.
why do you keep
Remembering that we were slaves to the land of Egypt, we should be thankful and keep it. We should be thankful and keep it for letting us sow and reap. Auditing is always normal when both are audited.
First, you should be grateful for what you have given. Count the blessings you have received and give thanks. You should not complain that you have given less than you have given. Second, you have to believe and be thankful that you will give.
The saints who keep the Harvest Festival are those who know how to give thanks.
