Title Be a Source of Blessings

Bible Text: Genesis 12:1-5
Be a source of blessing
“Be a source of good fortune.” A source is a hole from which a stream of water springs out. God promised Abram that he would become a source of blessing. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, and you will be a blessing” (verse 2). “The Lord said to Abram, ‘Leave your country and your relatives and your father’s house.
Where is the mainland? The country where I was born, the family where I was born and raised. Abraham's homeland was Ur of the Chaldeans in ancient Babylon. People are created by where they are born and where they grow up. We have to break the curse that flows through the family line to live. There is no denying the saying that Bujeonjeon (父傳子傳) is that children follow their parents. What is the curse that runs through the family line? Where should I leave the mainland?
It is a controlled mainland.
The controlling assumption is that there is nothing I can do on my own. Dressing, meeting friends, and eating all interfere with each other. They put on shoes and feed them food. Growing up in such an environment prevents you from acting responsibly.
Even as an adult, I can't do my responsibilities. Avoid taking responsibility in any way. I have never made a decision on my own. In their language, the terms "I don't know what to do" and "I don't know" are mixed a lot. The characteristic of successful people is the ability to take responsibility. Great success is accepting great responsibilities. Leaving the controlled mainland is a source of blessing. “Christ gave us freedom to set us free; stand firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1).
It is the land of fear.
A person who grows up in a fearful environment has a lot of fear. Fearful people do what they do when they fail, and they can't start doing anything. I can't even decide on anything. It's because I'm afraid that the decision itself will go wrong. If you don't overcome your fear, you won't be able to move forward. When raising children, you need to train them to overcome their fears.
Churchill said, “It takes courage to stand up and speak.” Learning and growing always requires action, and action takes courage. It is comfortable not to leave a familiar place without action. But to be a source of blessing, fear must leave the mainland. “No one will be able to withstand you all the days of your life, for I will be with you. Be strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:5-6).
It is the homeland of anxiety.
Anxiety is a feeling you feel when your life or your life is threatened. There is no stability mentally or financially. A great obstacle to success is not having faith in yourself. It is because I am anxious to draw my own limits. It is a lack of faith.
You have to be able to take risks to get rich. The future is always uncertain. Napoleon said, "Glory can only be found where there is danger." To be a source of happiness, you must leave the homeland of anxiety. As David was chased by the shadow of death, he said, “Why are you discouraged, my soul, and why are you troubled within me? Look to God, and I will rather praise my God, who helps my face” (Psalm 42:11). Said.
It is the homeland of abuse.
People who grow up in abuse don't appreciate their worth. Isn't abuse trampling on the weak and ignoring humans? It is an act of contempt with violence or injustice. People who have lived through abuse lack self-confidence and have low self-esteem. Usually, these people are rebellious against social norms and feel that they are not accepted everywhere. You think you can't be that important person, and you demean yourself. He ignores himself. He doesn't acknowledge himself. Abuse is the homeland of the curse. You must not be abused and you must not be abused.
If a person who grew up being abused abuses himself, this is suicide. A place of abuse You must leave the abused mainland to become a source of blessing. The land of abuse is the mainland to leave. “Blessed are you, O Israel… your enemies will be subject to you, and you will tread on their high places” (Deuteronomy 33:29).
It is the homeland of idolatry.
Abraham's family was an idolatrous family. His father Terah served another god (Joshua 24:2). “...an idol is an abomination to the LORD, and he that makes it and sets it up in secret will be cursed” (Deuteronomy 27:15). He said, “You shall have no other gods before me.” ..I, the LORD, am a jealous God, and he said that I will pay for the sins of those who hate me for three or four generations (Exodus 20:3-6).
After Terah died, God said to Abram his son,
He said, “Go to the land I will show you.” Abram followed God's instructions. In that respect, Abram was a pioneer. It means that you have paved the way for others to follow. Abraham had been living in Babylon for 75 years, and God said that he would make him a source of blessing. Leaving is an adventure. When he left home, it meant that he lived a separate life, not a departure from the secular world of the monk.
I left the mainland, my father's house, to go to the land that God would show me. Leaving is the beginning. Successful people start. And keep going. This is moving into a “new earth” and “a new heart” that will be blessed. Canaan is a symbol of “the realm of divine material” and “welfare.” It's not just the body that moves, it's the thoughts, actions and language that must move. We need to leave our old thoughts and break from our old actions.
People who are the source of happiness are the result of spiritual wealth. It is said that the condition that is the source of wealth and happiness is spiritual movement. The rich believe that “I make my life”. The poor believe that “my life makes me”. The difference between the two is a difference in mental resources. In order to continue to grow, we have to let go of the old and embrace the new. This is true of tangible possessions as well as intangible ways of thinking.
Abram was able to become a source of blessing by leaving his father's home, the homeland he had to leave, and entering the land of Canaan. “Abram followed the word of the LORD, and Lot went with him; and Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran” (verse 5).
Canaan is described as a land “flowing with milk and honey” (Numbers 13:27).
“The land that you will cross over to acquire is a land with mountains and valleys that absorb the rain from heaven, a land that the LORD your God recommends. 11-12)
“The land I will cross over to acquire” means crossing the border into a land separate from the land I live in now. You must cross the Jordan River to enter the land of Canaan. It refers to a separate place. In reality, the land to be acquired by crossing over is the church and the temple. To enter the chapel, you must cross the border between the kingdom of the world and the kingdom of God. You have to make up your mind and decide to enter.
It is said to be a land that absorbs rain from the sky. The soil that absorbs the rain will allow plants to sprout and bear fruit. One seed yields 30, 60, or 100 times in fertile soil. To become a source of blessing, you must accept the Word that makes it a source of blessing. May you be like the land that absorbs the rainwater. To absorb (吸收) means to absorb. is to accept. We must accept the Word that becomes the source of blessing.
“It is the land of the Lord’s advice,” he said. To advise means to look after. When God gives counsel, there is encouragement and there is rebuke. Don't let it go. I advise you not to do it.
“The eyes of the Lord are always upon him” God is always looking at me. God protected Abraham's family like the pupil of the eye. When his wife was taken from the king of Egypt, the Lord brought disaster on the house. The king of Egypt sent sheep, cattle, slaves, donkeys, and camels (Genesis 12:14-16). “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples of the earth will be blessed” (verse 3).
May all of you be a source of blessings. You must leave the mainland, your father's house. We must leave the homeland of control, the homeland of fear, the homeland of anxiety, the homeland of abuse, the homeland of idols. And we must enter Canaan as God directs us to.
“So Abram followed the word of the Lord, and Lot went with him, and Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. departed and finally entered the land of Canaan” (verses 4-5).
The land of Canaan is a beautiful land, a land where springs spring up, and a land where underground resources are buried. It is a land that allows people to live in abundance in a fertile land.
“The LORD your God is bringing you into a beautiful land, in the valleys and in the hills, with streams and springs and springs flowing, a land of wheat and barley, a land of grapes, figs, pomegranates, olive trees, and honey. A land where there is none and you lack nothing; the stones of the land are iron, and the mountains will mine copper; you will eat and be satisfied, and you will praise the LORD your God for giving you good soil (Deuteronomy 8:7-10).
Be the source of your blessings! To be the source of blessing, you must believe in Jesus. We must leave the land of unbelief. You have to go to church. The source of happiness is the blessing itself. Abraham became the source of blessing. By believing in Jesus, we hope that you will break the curse that flows through your family and become a source of blessings.
To become a source of blessing, from the mainland to Canaan!
Please leave the mainland, cross over unbelief, enter the land of Canaan, and become a source of blessing.
