Title: About Loyalty

Text: Matthew 25:14~30

Hymns:

Did you enjoy the video?

What is the movie saying?

What does the death of a horse mean?

It speaks of mission, that is, loyalty.

What is Loyalty?

How do you do loyalty?

Let's take a look through the text.

When a man went to another country, he entrusted his servants with positions according to their talents.

He gave ten talents to those who could afford ten, and one talent to those who could afford one.

And when they returned from other countries, they judged how loyal they were.

Those who received ten talents left ten talents as a base, and those who received five talents also left five talents.

But the one who received the one talent kept it and gave it away.

When the master saw this, he received ten and five talents, and praised those who had left ten and five talents, respectively, ‘well done’.

To the one who received the one talent, he said, “Depart from me, you wicked and lazy servant.”

This is the law of the kingdom of heaven.

Even if we gain faith and receive salvation because of the Lord's merit, it is as if nothing came out of the fire without our own merit.

Therefore, we must bear the loyalty that God requires according to the office entrusted to us.

In 1 Corinthians 4:2, it says, “What we should ask of the one in charge is loyalty.” Some people misunderstand this saying, thinking that it means to be loyal to God, and just pray, “Loyal me, be faithful.”

Of course, you are right to be loyal to God.

However, the meaning of this verse is that it is God who has entrusted the task, and he demands only loyalty from the one entrusted with the task.

Therefore, there is no excuse for not being able to handle the task entrusted to you.

The excuse “I couldn’t work for some reason or another” doesn’t work.

Because what God is looking for is “loyalty,” not other excuses or special reasons.

The more ultimate reason we must be loyal to the Lord is because of our hope.

It is because we do not have hope that we fall quickly while we are living our life of faith.

It is because there is no hope.

For those who have hope, the life of faith is not difficult.

That is why the Bible emphasizes that we must have hope in our faith.

Those who have hope can lead a life of faith well.

Even more so, when you are working in this world, you need to have hope to be diligent and earnest.

You must be zealous when there is some profit that will come to you.

Likewise, in the religious life, there must be hope in my soul so that I will not be lazy and indolent.

Neglecting and neglecting our duties will never be forgiven before God.

Everyone's excuses will be different.

But the Bible says that only loyalty is required.

In other words, you judge only the results.

Therefore, we must do our best, knowing that it is our duty to live a life of faith to be faithful to the office God has given us.

What God seeks is allegiance, which is for our souls.

Also, the Lord has already promised a reward for faithfulness to God.

You and I are living a life of faith in hope of this promise.

When the Lord came to this earth, he was faithful to God and was faithful to the point of death.

And he told his members, ‘Take my flesh and eat it,’ and made us members of Christ.

This means to be faithful with Christ, and this is the life of a saint.

Our salvation comes from the Lord, but our life comes through our efforts.

In this way, the merits of the Lord and mine must be united together.

This is the will of the Lord, the will of God, and this is what God has commanded us.

Therefore, we have a lot of work to do on this earth.

Among them, evangelism is the great task that God has entrusted to us.

God can make all mankind believe in Jesus and be saved in one day.

But he gives it to people as an inheritance and does not care directly.

‘Only by the merits of Christ, go and preach! and tell them to believe!’

There are still many places in this world to evangelize people who can be evangelized because it is an inheritance that God has entrusted to us.

As such, evangelism is an enterprise entrusted to by the saints and a golden opportunity to build up one's own strength.

Therefore, let's all be faithful to God through our faith life!

Loyal to God lest any of us be judged as evil and lazy.
