Title: Be the last victor
Contents :
The text reads that the Apostle Paul intuitively realized that his ministry was short and that he was weak to the end as an old man, but he did his best and kept the faith. They say it will come down.
This is like a player who waits for an award after playing with his best, putting all his heart and all his strength into the game.
This is the final victor and joy.
Paul compares life to athletes in a running arena.
Our Lord also showed us the final victory, the last victor.
When he was crucified, all the Jews, the high priests, and the Roman soldiers thought he had triumphed, and even the disciples of Jesus fled or fled powerlessly because they thought of the defeat of Jesus.
But because he is resurrected, he shows the final victory and guarantees the final victory for us as well.
Who is the ultimate victor?
▶ Those who do their best.
The ultimate victor doesn't have to be flashy, he just does his best until the end to win.
There is no need to blame or resent the given time and given circumstances.
▶ Those who have run all the way to run.
Thousands of people run well, but there are many who fall or fail at the end.
▶ Those who fought the good fight and kept the faith.
You are the one who fought the good fight. You cannot win without fighting.
The Apostle Paul's comparison of fighting here is referring to the gladiators of that time.
Their fight is a fight for survival and an inevitable fight.
It must be a fight to keep the faith.
We Christians have rules of war.
We must fight in the Bible, in Jesus, and in the Holy Spirit.
A crown and reward are prepared for the final victor.
The righteous judge longs for the appearing of the Lord and gives to those who fight the good fight.
▶The one who laughs last.
▶The eternal victor is the ultimate victor.
It seems that you have won, but losing is not an eternal victory.
In the world, there are things that win and lose, and there are battles that win even after losing.
It seems like a profit, but there is a loss, and there is a victory that seems to be a big loss.
The final victory is in Jesus.
