Title Because of Me (Genesis 30:25-32)
Contents The ultimate purpose of God's special creation of human beings in His likeness and likeness was not only to be glorified through Him, but to bless the world. Then, what kind of life are Christians who believe in God, who is the source of blessing, and are they truly becoming the source of blessings that make others happy because of me?
1. The reason why the blessing is delayed God told not only to Abraham but also to his grandson Jacob (Genesis 28:14) Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and they will spread to the east, west, north, and south; As in the words of lira, despite the promise of blessings that are the same source of blessing as Abraham, only suffering aggravated for Jacob and God's blessing was delayed. What was the reason?
God made Jacob more deeply aware of not only the pain he suffered, but how much pain he had caused to others because of it, and 2) persevering in the midst of suffering so that he could learn to humble himself (Philippians 2). :5-8) 3) He gave up his wisdom and made him completely depend on God (Deuteronomy 8:3).
However, God delayed the blessing promised to Jacob for a long time because of his transgression, so even that worked together for good.
2. Jacob's blessings Marriage, starting a second life for humans, is the most important thing to do carefully in accordance with God's providence. Therefore, 'Pray once when going out to battle, twice when going out to sea by boat. There is a saying, 'Pray, and if you want to get married, pray three times.'
The result of Jacob's attempt to take over Rachel by human means and methods rather than praying like his father Isaac for marriage only added to the pain he was hoping for.
Because of Rachel's fiery jealousy and Leah's rivalry, she had maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah, and as a result, she had 12 sons.
Although God never suppressed Jacob's will to accomplish His will, and Jacob was also conscious of God and never gave up on what he set out to do, as a result, through Jacob's weaknesses and faults, God You have fulfilled the promise that you will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky.
God does not create sin because He is good. The problem is that fallen human beings always suffer because they live a life that goes against the will of God and deviates from social norms. Even so, God's will is not delayed or canceled because of it, but rather, God's will is being accomplished without change.
3. Because of Jacob, the blessings Jacob received from God were not only many children but also material blessings. Although Jacob worked hard in Laban's house, he did not lie about his wages ten times, but Jacob did not lose money, but as a result, it became an opportunity to confirm his existence. It was an opportunity to confirm that it is not a land and that it is a place where you have to leave no matter how comfortable you are.
(Genesis 30:26) Give me the wives and wives that I have worked for, so that they may come to me, for you know what I have done to you.
2) When Jacob said that he was leaving Laban, Laban began to realize how much blessing he had received because of Jacob.
(Genesis 30:27) And Laban said to him, "I understand that the Lord has blessed me because of you. If you love me, stay still. 3) Jacob, who made Laban a source of blessing in his work, also prospered materially. I was able to create an opportunity to do so, and I received the blessing that God promised.
After Jacob's 14 years of free service for Rachel, for 6 years Laban paid no wages to Jacob. But God blessed Jacob's most foolish proposal to keep all the spotted chicks as his own.
(Genesis 30:43) And the man became exceedingly abundant, and there were many flocks, slaves, camels, and donkeys.
Today, God sometimes causes believers to suffer in a worse place than unbelievers, not because the suffering itself has no purpose, but so that they can learn humility and depend on God to finally receive the promised ultimate blessing.
However, realizing that the greater blessing that God desires is not only for me, but also because it is a source of blessing that makes others well too, we must become the source of blessing that makes others well because of us, not those who harm others because of us do.
