Title Because of That Love
Because of that love (2 Corinthians 5:16-19)
The apostle Paul was blindfolded because of the love of Jesus. The Bible uses the word mad. To be crazy means to fall deeply. Some people are crazy about gambling, some people are crazy about fishing, and some people are crazy about the world. But the apostle Paul was crazy about Jesus.
What made the apostle Paul crazy about Jesus?
It is written because of the love of the Lord who died on the cross for me. He appeared to Paul, who was running to Damascus to arrest and kill those who believed in Jesus. Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? because he heard his voice. Paul’s appearance before reaching Jesus boasted knowledge, lineage, and family lineage. So they persecuted Jesus and lived according to the flesh as a Pharisee. But when he met Jesus, he led a completely different life.
How did Paul, who was crazy about Jesus, live?
(1) I did not live for myself, but for Him who died on the cross for me. (14-15)
Why did you love someone like me? I was moved every day and lived. Paul was beaten three times, one less than 40, <because of his love>. Traces of Jesus' love were etched on his body. Let no one trouble me, I say, I have the marks of Christ on my body. Are there any traces of Jesus on your body?
(2) Old things have passed away; behold, new things have come. They cleared the past and lived as a new creation (16-17).
The old man Paul, a student of Gabriel, boasted of his knowledge, as a Pharisee, boasting of his righteousness, and as a citizen of Rome, who had nothing to envy in the world. I met Jesus and became a new person. Just because you believe in Jesus and receive a new life does not mean that you will grow up to maturity, become holy, and become an adult in one day. Even if it is a new creation, a child is just a child. The seeds of new life must grow day by day.
(3) He did well in the ministry of reconciliation that Jesus gave him.
When we were enemies with God, Jesus became the propitiation sacrifice by being nailed to the cross. And he said to us that he asked you to be reconcilers. Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God. The source of Satan is Diablos. This is the one who divides between them. Satan is the one who separates and destroys relationships. The children of God are the children of God who make peace between God and the world.
