Before my dreams come true (Genesis 40:1~23)
The danger of a wound is that the wound itself is painful, but it can spread if it becomes infected. So it could be a bigger bottle. The same goes for broken hearts. Wounds in the heart are mainly from people, and although it is painful in itself, it can be transferred to other places. That is why it is possible to develop in this way, such as being hurt by one person but distrusting many people, or by being hurt by another person causing them to distrust God. Therefore, even the wounds of the heart must be healed, and the key is how to be healed. I can think of three ways here.
The first is to heal your wounds with the comfort of God.
This is God's grace, healing power, and God's love. God not only heals our bodies, but also heals our minds. He said, “He has poured out the Holy Spirit on me to heal the brokenhearted.”
The second way is that we can be healed as our personality matures.
The reason a person is easily hurt is because his thoughts are childish. The more egocentric you are, the easier it is to get hurt. Because the world doesn't give us that way. What mothers say, when you become a mother, you will understand your mother's position. That's correct. When we put ourselves in the shoes of others, we can better understand what others were forced to do. So, things that were painful when our thoughts were young are no longer painful as our thoughts mature.
And thirdly, because God redeems us, we can be healed.
To say that God avenges us means to take our side and release our sorrow. The greatest example is the resurrection of Jesus. God raised Jesus from the dead as proof that Jesus was right. So there was no more limit for Jesus, no more wounds for Jesus, and all of that could be glory. It cannot be compared to this, but when God vindicates us and exalts us, all the pain we had in the past can disappear through that work. When David became king, all the scars of running away as a fugitive disappeared in the past, and Ruth married Boaz and gave birth to a son, so the pain of his mother-in-law Naomi disappeared.
No one makes their dreams come true from the start. David also had to learn to serve Saul under King Saul, learn to humble himself, learn to wait, learn humility, learn meekness, and learn to wait for God's timing. Moses was not able to save his people only with his own blood, but rather, it was the power of God that caused people to die and failed and ultimately saved his people with his own blood. It was only when he was 80 years old that he learned how to kill blood and wait, learn to obey God, and then take on the task of saving his people, which he had dreamed of for the rest of his life.
Even if God has given me power, even if he has given me gifts and talents, I am giving them to serve others first. It's about giving it to help others. And when I help others, my talents shine brighter and my gifts work better. God's purpose in giving us gifts is not to fulfill our purposes or desires. It's not for my own gain, it's to build up the church, serve others, help others, and spread the gospel of Jesus. If we do, the day will come when that gift will open doors of opportunity for us as well. You need to know it. That's the difference between those who believe and those who don't. That is the difference between those who have and those who do not have a God-given dream. The day will come when God will avenge you. Please believe it.
