Subject: Blessings through fellowship

Verse: Exodus 24:1-11

<Introduction>

When we are invited to someone else's meal, we take it as an honor and look forward to a pleasant meal with friends and family. It's not because some special food is prepared, but because it expects fellowship with those you eat together. Food is simply a means of fellowship, not just for the sake of eating food itself. Even in the church, it is necessary to share food for the fellowship of the saints. Making food and having time to gather together is not simply fun to eat, but it can be seen that as long as the family members believe in God through the time they eat, they can share the fellowship of faith with joy. Even the members of a household are scattered, and if each person eats their own food, there is no time to gather and have a pleasant conversation, and the atmosphere is inevitably gloomy. To do this, we need to have frequent time for family members who are far away to gather together, and we need to create time for single members to gather together.

Today's text describes the situation in which the leaders of Israel met and had fellowship with God at the top of Mount Sinai and had a pleasant meal together.

<Body>

1. Considering the circumstances at that time, not everyone could draw close to God. Only special people could come to God.

(1) It was only for those who were called by God. Those who are not called by God cannot meet God in their own strength or ability. The only reason we can meet God only when we meet is because human beings have sin. So, as long as we believe in the name of the Lord, who came among us and opened the way to God, we can all go to God.

(2) God reveals Himself only to those who repent and believe. Because only the pure in heart can see God. (Matthew 5:8) He said, "Blessed is the pure in heart, for he shall see God."

2. Those who repent and are pure in heart must contain the Word of God.

(1) The word of God was delivered to the Israelites through Moses. They show their determination to follow the word. It is because (2) God has a wonderful plan for us because God is the Creator of our being, the Protector of our lives, and the One who bestows upon us a love and grace that we cannot repay. The only human response to this is obedience. Because it is the only way to go on the path that God has opened for us.

(3) Because God is in charge of all promises, Israel did not give up on faith that the purpose of the covenant, hopes, and promises would eventually be fulfilled even in the most miserable and dark moments. Even for us today, God is preparing to fulfill all the promises He has given us. Because the Word of God is a living Word, it is the source that gives us life at any time. You have to be determined to keep it and accept it.

3. For the promise of this resolution, the covenant of bloodshed is necessary.

(1) Blood, which symbolizes life, is essential in all sacrifices. This blood is a ceremony to cleanse the people of their sins, and it is an act of determination to consecrate themselves to God. Death as a payment for sin can be forgiven only through the shedding of blood. The shedding of blood is the sacrifice of one's life, and only then will one's life be saved.

It is profane, free from sin and becoming a child of God.

He is our Savior, Jesus Christ. As long as we believe in Jesus, who died on the cross to pay the price for our sins, all our sins will be forgiven and we will be entitled to fellowship with God.

4. For those who have these qualifications, God has allowed fellowship with Himself.

(1) Because they consecrated themselves with the blood of the covenant, people were qualified to climb the mountain, where they could see God and share food.

Because the Old Testament did not allow direct encounter with God, we could only see where He was. However, not many people had these privileges. Now that Jesus Christ has opened the way to God in his body, we are saved when we call on the name of Jesus, we can receive answers to our prayers when we call on the name of Jesus, When you called, you came to have fellowship with me. (Rev 3:20)(2) A holy union was established among God's people. In order for social interaction to reach success, it is necessary to have good fellowship at the table.

For perfect fellowship of saints even in the church, fellowship at the table must be done well. Eating and drinking in God gave us confidence in our hearts and tells us that our companions really enjoyed their location.

Eating and drinking in God is the true happiness of Christians.

This is because, in the Lord, one brother and sister are fully united in holy unity to form the body of Christ.

(3) Here is the blessing of God coming. God's blessing always comes upon the true fellowship of the holy ones. Therefore, we only receive the gift, and we respond with the same love to the gift he gives us. Just as God blessed all Israel when he saw those who fell at his feet representing the people of Israel, looking at us today, God is also blessing our altars and the families of all the children who belong to them. The image of God for those who are called is not contemptible, but protector and joy-giver. We must open our hearts to Him who is not only infinitely holy, but also infinitely love, and we must share the fellowship of perfect saints.

<Conclusion>

There are many ways to give grace to us, but as those who can fully approach God, I hope that you will be able to experience the amazing work of the Lord by realizing that God? abundant grace is with you while sharing beautiful fellowship among the saints in the Lord.
