Title Causes of Child Sexual Failure

Contents

Israel's first start is very good. Because Joshua and the Israelites crossed the Jordan River and finally conquered Jericho with ease. Simply put, they become an invincible army in an instant.

When are we most careful in our lives?

Simply put, it is a time of strength. When you succeed, when you reach the top.

Why should I be careful? Because it's not always at the top.

What we need to remember here is that the Canaanite War can be won when God is with us. Likewise, our life is the same principle. When the Lord always walks with me, we can win the race of life. If I say it's because I'm handsome and smart, I'm going to fall off the cliff.

So did the Israeli army.

1 indicates that God had allowed us to come to this day, but now we have disobeyed.

The spies report. “Do not send all the people up, but send only two or three thousand” (2-3).

What you can tell from these words is that you have already won once, so you have judged your opponent. Ai is a smaller city than Jericho. That's why I told them to send only 2.3 thousand people. That is, it is despised. In other words, self-confidence.

1 Corinthians 10:12 “Therefore, let him who thinks he is standing beware lest he stumble”

‘Pride is the vanguard of destruction’

What we need to learn here is that if we move from the seat of faith to the place of human-centeredness, we will inevitably fail. So when things go well, you have to be more humble. You have to be more careful when things are going well.

This is because if God does not hold on to us, we will fall 100%.

2) The second reason for the defeat was lack of prayer;

There is one difference between the attack on Jericho and the attack on Ai. When they attacked Jericho, they thoroughly listened to God's word from beginning to end, received instructions, and proceeded. As a result, we won

But, what did the attack on Ai do rather than listen to God?

They only relied on the intelligence of the spies. It's that they didn't discuss how to fight with God. So I acted according to the opinions of the spies.

As a result, it failed.

The same is true. The first thing you should do before you do anything is pray

Prayer should be sufficient. Prayers must be piled up on top of my head, and prayers must also be piled up in my home. You don't have to be too busy to do that. Even if you eat one less meal, it is more important to sit quietly and watch.

The third reason for failure In today's text, what is the most decisive reason for failure?

It was because of Achan's sin (1) Because of one man's fault, Israel was defeated in this war.

What is sin?

As the Lunar New Year approaches, the price of fruits rises little by little. These days, fruits such as tangerines and pears are sold in boxes. By the way, it is fine if all the tangerines in the tangerine box are fresh. There is no need to open the box, but what if one of the oranges at the bottom of the box bursts when pressed? One tangerine bursts, but that's not the end of it. After a while, the other tangerines next to it will also mold and rot. So you always have to open it up to see if it's there.

Likewise, the sin doesn't always end with the person's sin. spread to others

Eve ate the forbidden fruit. It doesn't end on its own. I will bring my husband. So in the end I die, and you die too. Sin does not stand still, it has a pervasive character.

Why did Achan commit such a sin?

1) Because Achan was dissatisfied.

Israel and Achan were now in the process of going out to a new land. Achan was not thinking about the future that would be given to him now, but was thinking about the past and the present. During his 40 years of living in the wilderness, his clothes did not separate and he ate manna every day. If we were told to wear the same clothes every day for 40 years, eat the same food, and live the same life with no money to save for the future, would you just live? You will soon get bored.

Also, what would you do if this church were to be repeated for 40 years in this place, with the same people and under the same circumstances for the next 40 years? 'Other people may be satisfied, but when the opportunity comes, I'll go to a better place'

Just as we can think like this, so did Achan think.

After all, dissatisfaction breeds disobedience

Why did Satan rebel against God? Because he was dissatisfied with his position.

Why are you complaining? Because it is unsatisfactory. You can see that dissatisfaction is the root of sin, it causes Satan to exist, and furthermore, it becomes an element that opposes God.

2) The second mistake was doubting God. There was no right knowledge of God.

While stealing Achan’s belongings, he must have said, ‘Does God know this much?’

But God knows everything. The Bible says that he counts to the top of our heads, knows how we sit and stands up, and knows the motives of our thoughts. You know my past, present and future

The fact that the Lord knows everything we think and do can be stressful for some. why? 'Cause you're watching everything So it can be stressful.

Conversely, seeing and knowing everything. Some people might say it's cool.

So, why do some people get stressed and others think cool?

It depends on your relationship with God. If your relationship with the Lord is not right, the fact that you know everything is burdensome.

We must first look at ourselves. Of course, taking care of yourself doesn't mean things in the world will happen automatically. However, it is because if you rush into work without examining yourself, the results are obvious. After examining yourself, you just have to do your best within the given range. When you do that, you just have to go on the path that opens up.

Through the image of Achan, we must realize the importance of being alone.

Just as one person's mistake can lead to losing a war, one person's mistake can destroy a community or a family. Also, if good faith fails in an instant, all faith can be destroyed.

So is the church.

Conversely, there are cases where miracles happen because of one

When 5,000 people had nothing to eat, a young child brought a packed lunch. So, thousands of people ate five bottles, and there were 12 Gwangjuli left.

When I stand upright, the church will stand upright, this society will become right, and this country will be on the right path.

3) Because Achan coveted what was not his

At that time, in the ancient war, if you were the victor, of course the loot was yours.

Achan thought so too. But it was his mistake.

The conqueror of this war was not Achan, not the Israelites, but God.

So, the spoils of war had to be taken to the temple, and the others had to be annihilated, God said.

But Achan hid two items. It was ‘gold and silver’ and ‘a beautiful cloak from Sinal’

Here, ‘gold and silver’ Dr. Francis Schaefer sees as ‘materialism’.

The coat means ‘secularism’.

So, Achan was a person who valued materialism and secularism more than God.

Also, if you are tainted with materialism and secularism, you will covet other people's things and even God's things.

Therefore, it must be remembered that nothing is destroying the Christian life as rapidly as we are not satisfied with what God has given us, what God has given us.

There may be elements of Achan in us who believe in Jesus.

I pray that you will always be in control of our hearts and go the way the Lord wants you to be.
