Title Change your destiny
Contents
Text: Acts of the Apostles 3:1-10
In general, under the influence of the Buddhist idea that people are born with their own destiny, they do not try to escape from the misfortunes and hardships they face as destiny. However, believers who believe in God are not bound by words of sale or fate. It is because faith is to change the destiny and to fix the fortunes. It is faith that turns the impossible into possible, the impossible, and even hardships into blessings.
In today's text, a person who has been crippled from birth appears.
He had no money, no ability to work, no education. It was a disgraceful, hopeless life with no hope, in which someone was brought to the temple gate every day to beg for those who entered the temple by means of a hoax. Then he met Peter and John. As a habit, he saved a few bucks. If Peter and John had given him a few pennies out of pity, his situation would not have changed. Peter and John proclaimed, “Walk in the name of Jesus of Nazareth,” and at that moment, he got strength from his feet and ankles, and got up, walked and leaped into the temple and praised God.
Dear saints,
Whatever obstacles and hardships in life, do not turn it into fate God is power. “If it is possible, what do you mean? Nothing is impossible for him who believes” (Mark 9:23). The believer's confession is, "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." Hallelujah!!
Let's see when this lame's fate changed.
1. “At the ninth hour of prayer” (verse 1) was changed.
The Jewish 9 o'clock is the modern 3 pm. It's a very busy time, but I leave everything behind and pray. Whatever Christians do, they must first pray. Committing to work and then praying is the reverse of the order. There are some people who just do things in a hurry and don't even pray and blame others. They blame their parents, their business partners, their spouses, and even the pastor.
Why did God honor Daniel?
He was a man of prayer. When he prayed, God saved him from the lion's den, and from the prime ministers who tried to harm him. The Apostle Paul said, “Pray without ceasing” in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, James 5:13, “Are you sick or have any difficulties? Stay and pray” and Luke 22:29, “He went to the Mount of Olives to pray after his habit,” he said and practiced the importance of prayer.
Praying when you are sad brings you comfort.
If you pray when you are lonely and lonely, Jesus will be your friend.
If you pray when you are in despair and discouragement, He gives you hope and peace.
When you pray about your life's path, such as finding a job or getting married, God gives you wisdom and guides you along the way.
2. “The bird ascending to the temple” (verse 1) has been changed.
The temple has the name of God, and is the place where God's face is directed. Therefore, the saints should long for the temple that God is most interested in.
As Jesus prophesied in Mark 13:2, the temple in Jerusalem fell,
① Jesus Himself is the temple (John 2:21; Revelation 21:22),
② Our heart is the temple (1 Corinthians 3:16),
③ Today's church is the temple (Acts 20:28).
The church is built on the blood of Jesus Christ. That is why the church building is called the 'temple,' the people who praise it are called the 'choir', the objects are called the 'holy things', and the people inside are called the 'saints'. The holy sanctity is an attribute of God. As in Ezekiel 47, “water springs up from under the threshold of the temple to give life and bear fruit.” The saints must enter and exit the temple gate frequently to have abundant spiritual life and enjoy the blessings of God.
3. Changed “when they called on the name of Jesus” (v. 6).
The fate of the lame was changed not in silver and gold, but in the name of Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is great because it is the name of God given by God (John 17:11), and there is authority in that name, demons are cast out by that name, and you can be saved just by calling on his name . When prayer fails, if you keep calling on the name of Jesus, prayer will be opened. That name solves the problem. The greatest wealth of believers is Jesus Christ.
John 14:4 says, “Ask anything in my name, and I will do it.”
Dear saints,
Pray to Jesus Christ, yearn for the temple, and exalt the name of Jesus, without blaming fate and betrayal. An amazing history of changing your destiny is sure to happen in your life.
Hallelujah!!!! Amen...
