Leaves fall like rain on the roadside. Seeing the piles of trees piled up, they silently lay down their belongings and prepare themselves for the coming winter naked, looking really cool. The wisdom of trees preparing for the coming changes is amazing. They seem to know how to prepare for change and how to face the new.
◆ Hidden Times
The time to prepare something is invisible. For those who value only more visible results, the time to prepare for the task is a waste. Because you won't get any results. But in every fruit there are such hidden times. It is a time when nothing seems to have happened, but because of that hidden time, life grows and grows again. Hidden time is waiting time. Time to prepare. It's time to pay the price for change.
◆ Ability to change
The conversion of Saul the persecutor was truly a major event in the early church. Who would have dared to think of such a thing? It is clear that the appearance of Saul who turned around overnight was unfamiliar and difficult for Jews and early church members to accept. Eventually, the Jews decided to kill Saul, who had turned from a comrade to an enemy. The guards at the gates day and night forced Saul to flee in a basket at night. The power to tolerate discomfort. That's the hallmark of a changed person.
◆ People who are open to change
For Saul's changed values and changes, he needed people who could acknowledge and accept such changes. The Lord sent Ananias to pray for Saul. After Saul had received his prayer, scales fell from his eyes and he could see again. At the time, when he could not acknowledge Saul's change even after several days had passed, Saul needed someone to believe in him. The person who appeared at that time was Barnabas, and Saul was able to restore the fellowship of faith through Barnabas and expand his horizons. A church that is built strong is always open to change.
