Title: Children are Jehovah's greatest blessing. Text: Psalm 127:1-5

1. Children are the inheritance of Jehovah.

2. Children are Jehovah's reward.

Psalm 127:3 Children are God's reward of great value. Gift. We don't know who these kids will be. We may be more valuable than we think. It is the children that God has given us as a gift that holds infinite value. We put God's blessings in our children's hearts. It contained the will of God. It contained the image of God. It contained God's plan. It contains the treasures of God. The work of digging up the treasures in them is the work of nurturing them with the Word. If we properly nurture our children through the Word, we can discover the precious treasures in our children and grow them into great children. The king of wisdom, Solomon, also said in Proverbs 10:1, “This is a proverb of Solomon: A wise son makes a father happy, but a foolish son is a mother’s sorrow.” As such, children are the greatest reward of joy that God gives us. As parents, we should be people who value our children.

3. Children are arrows in the hands of a merchant.

Psalm 127:4

If a general who goes to war goes to war with a bow but no arrows, he will not believe that he will win the war in the first place. However, a general who goes out with a lot of arrows is always strong and has the confidence to win the war. There is this song. 'cheer up dad. We are there! cheer up dad. We are here.’ This means that children are the strength of parents. It is saying that children are the ones who can give strength when families are in trouble or in crisis. Hannah had no children. However, I got Samuel by praying before God. After giving birth to Samuel, Hannah offered a prayer of thanks to God like this. 1 Samuel 2:1 Hannah says that after the birth of Samuel, her horns were raised. The horn here refers to power and also authority. Hannah is praying that her children have increased her strength and increased her authority.

4. How should we raise such precious children?

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 To put it in one word, it means to teach the Word of God from time to time. Why is teaching the Word of God more important than teaching the science of the world? Its answer is here. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” .
