Title Children, up to the parents!

Children and parents!

Text: Genesis 26:12~25

Key Verse: “Then the Lord appeared to him that night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham; do not be afraid, for the sake of my servant Abraham I am with you and will bless you, that your descendants may multiply” (Genesis 26:24).

Born in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk in 1960, she is the mother of 2 billion scholarship students. Hwang Kyung-ae.

The 25-year-old eldest daughter graduated from Boston University on a full scholarship in the Department of International Politics and studied in Spain on a US government scholarship.

His 22-year-old son, a full scholarship student at Boston University, was selected for a special diplomat program that selects only 32 out of 8 million US college students, allowing him to work on the international stage as a diplomat.

The youngest daughter, 20, received a $1 million scholarship from the Bill Gates Foundation on a four-year full scholarship to Harvard University.

She also raised three children alone without a husband.

People want to hear the secret of how to raise three wonderful children.

Each time she replies:

“If you want to raise good children, first become a praying mother.”

Some of the people who read that newspaper must be rich.

There will be some who offer expensive tutoring.

Also, there will be people who are pessimistic about the situation that they cannot send to a good academy because they do not have money.

In front of so many people, she was proud.

“If you want to raise good children, first become a praying mother.”

Dear saints,

What do you think of Hwang Kyung-ae's words?

The text also tells the story of a family living abroad.

Due to the territoriality of the mainlanders, they are forced to close their factories.

If you avoid interference, go somewhere else, set up a business again, and start a business, they will come back there and disturb you.

Eventually, a fight breaks out between the employees.

I can't stand it anymore, so I move to another place to avoid the fight.

Again, we fight and fight again.

I am forced to move to another place.

But this time, they don't come and interfere or fight.

In this scene, God reveals the reason why Isaac was blessed.

“I will be with you for the sake of my servant Abraham, and I will bless you and multiply your descendants” (:24).

These two cases have different times, different circumstances, circumstances, and people.

However, there is one thing in common: children are up to their parents.

Hwang Kyung-ae raises her three children alone without a husband.

My 25-year-old daughter works for one of the top 10 law firms in the United States.

His 22-year-old son has already confirmed his career as a diplomat by passing the special diplomat, which is only selected for 32 in the United States.

And my 20-year-old daughter entered Harvard University on a four-year full scholarship to design a city in a poor country to improve their quality of life.

She reveals the secret to this.

“I recite Psalm 23 with my children every day, and through morning prayer and evening service, I looked completely at God.”

“This is my strength in raising our children”

I was able to summarize the strength of her three children so successfully in her testimony into five points.

First, every day with the children

Second, memorize the Bible every day.

Third, pray every morning

Fourth, worship was held every evening.

Fifth is confidence. “This is the secret and strength of my education.”

Education doesn't happen overnight.

Your grades don't suddenly improve.

The effects of education appear gradually.

Without conviction, it is impossible to educate your children through Bible recitation, morning prayer, and evening worship.

But she was sure.

So I was able to continue doing four things for over 10 years.

In 10 years, you have educated three children like this: 3 years in middle school, 3 years in high school, and 4 years in university.

With this education, their three children will receive a full four-year scholarship at a leading American university.

Even this alone is a big deal, but on top of that, we will establish a solid road ahead.

One child as a lawyer, one as a diplomat, and one as an international city planner.

50 years ago, a person who carried a fish on his head, crossed the mountain, crossed the water, and went from village to village as a peddler.

However, the mother who led her tired body from the peddling and woke up her sleeping son every dawn to take her to the dawn prayer.

The mother makes her child president.

The President testifies:

‘My mother made me president.’

It is up to the children and the parents.

What are you doing for your children?

Your child's future depends on your prayers.

In our church, we will be doing ‘Paul’s Prayer’ in the morning and evening from next Sunday.

A mother who held her three children's hands and went out to pray at dawn every morning in a foreign country with a different culture and no language.

If we alone raised our three children as world-class sons and daughters, we can raise them too.

If the mother, who held her son's hand even though he was tired of peddling and went out to prayer every morning, made him the president, we would be able to raise our sons and daughters like that.

Early morning prayer can be done by anyone.

It doesn't even cost money.

A person with a bag doesn't even have to have a line.

Anyone can do it.

Therefore, we cannot say that our children did not have money to study to your heart's content.

Because you can pray without money.

I can't even excuse myself for not being able to study as much as I want because of my financial hardship.

Because we can pray no matter how difficult it is.

Paul and Silas were in a deep dungeon with their feet stuck in stockings and their hands tied to pitchforks, but they prayed.

Through that prayer, all the prison doors were opened, an earthquake occurred, and a miracle occurred in which the jailer was saved.

That is why I cannot make excuses for not being able to pray because my circumstances are difficult and my body is very difficult.

A mother's prayer opens the way for her children.

Also, Hwang Kyung-ae recites the Bible with her children every day.

Tragedy occurs when her husband is defrauded by an international scammer from Nigeria and loses all his fortune.

The husband could not bear the shock and left the house.

A woman who has become acquainted with her mother, who is left alone to take care of her three children, wets her pillow with her tears through long nights.

But from then on, she continued to read and memorize the Word of God with her children every morning for 10 years.

God gives his children understanding so they can become the most elite in America.

The psalmist sings:

‘Blessed are you. You who delight in the law of the LORD, who read it day and night and meditate on it.”

According to these words, Hwang Kyung-ae becomes a blessed woman.

A woman named Hannah was barren.

Husband has a second wife and has children. Hannah, who had spent many years in tears, fell down before God and prayed.

‘God, give me a son too’

He cries while writhing. Now my throat is sore and I can't even speak

But her prayers do not stop.

God hears and answers her prayer.

That son is Samuel.

For Hannah, this son must be more precious than life.

But the mother entrusted the son to the priest Eli to grow up before God as soon as he got wet.

This person named Eli is not a very reliable leader.

He was a leader who was so dark that he could not tell the difference between being tired while praying and getting drunk at the temple.

But Hannah entrusted Eli with her son, who was more precious than her life.

Why was she able to entrust her precious son, and also to the very Eli, who was weaned?

It was not the human “El” that she entrusted with her son, but the God-ordained Eli. In the end, she entrusted her son to God.

Young Samuel hears “the voice of God” in the temple.

But Eli's sons ignore and despise God's Word. As a retribution, his sons are killed all at once.

However, Samuel, who was taught by the same leader Eli, later becomes the great leader of Israel.

What is the difference between Eli's sons Hophni and Phinehas and Hannah's son Samuel?

Hophni and Phinehas disregarded, listened to, and did not obey God's Word.

But Samuel listened to God's word and obeyed it.

This was the result of death on the one hand and the great leader of Israel on the other.

How in the same temple,

If you were taught by the same leader, would the results be this different?

I can't find the reason anywhere else.

Parents' attitude.

Eli knows that his sons are openly breaking the word of God and acting arrogantly, but he does not reprove them with the word of God.

However, Hannah decides to nurture the infant she wants to hold in her arms with the word of God, and leaves her bosom to eat the word of God and grow up.

This mother made her son the leader of the nation.

In verse 24, God appears to Isaac, who is still in fear.

“I am the God of your father Abraham. So don't be afraid. I will be with you for the sake of my servant Abraham, and I will bless you and your descendants and multiply them.”

When God promises to bless his son, he mentions his father's name.

‘It is because of your father that I bless you.

Then, why did God say that he would bless his son Isaac from generation to generation because of his father Abraham?

The reason can be found in Genesis 18:19.

“I have chosen him to command his children and his household, to keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and righteousness, that the things which I, the Lord, may have spoken of Abraham.”

What did Abraham remember and protect?

He must have engraved the intention of God who chose him and called him into his heart and taught it to his children.

“I am him and his children”

Here, the only child is ‘Isaac’.

Abraham taught his son Isaac the covenant of God.

While living abroad, the father must have told his son the promises Jehovah God had made to him and repeated them again and again.

In Genesis 18:19, God says that God will fulfill that promise for the father, who believed in God who would accomplish that very thing and shared the covenant with his son day and night.

The situation in the text is that the father Abraham has not already gone to heaven.

For both humans and livestock, water is essential for survival.

If you dig a well to get the water, the people of Gerar from the mainland will come and take it away.

Also, if you dig a well and water comes out, if you like it, the natives will come again and take the water.

God appeared to Isaac in this situation, so don't worry.

I will be with you for your father Abraham's sake, and I will multiply you, just as your father Abraham told you and taught you during his lifetime.

Isaac prospered just as his father Abraham had taught him.

Dear saints,

I would like to ask you to reconsider with you the confident advice of Ms. Hwang Kyung-ae, who has passed the age of 50 and raised her three children as world-class sons and daughters alone in a foreign country.

“I recite Psalm 23 with my children every day, and through morning prayer and evening service, I looked completely at God.”

“I recite Psalm 23 every day with my children.”
