Title Church?
Contents Bible text: Exodus 25:8-9 Title: What does the church owner and the church do?
1. Who is the owner of the church and who founded it?
It is God, not someone, who made the church to be established in this world.
Exodus 25:8-9 8 I made them to build for myself a sanctuary to dwell among them, 9 and whatever I show you, you shall build them after the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of its utensils. The church of this world came into existence because God established the church and
It is God. That is why the apostle Paul called the church the house of God.
1 Timothy 3:15 says, “If I delay, you will be removed from the house of God.
so that you may know what to do. This house is the church of the living God.
It is the pillar and foundation of truth.”
2. What does the church do?
The world today is watching what the church does.
What did God have to do to establish this church?
There are many reasons, but let's break them down into four.
First, the church is a place where we worship God.
In 2 Chronicles 7:12, "The LORD appeared to Solomon by night and said,
I have already heard your prayers, and I have chosen this place to make a sacrifice to me.”
Sacrifice here refers to worship.
God's purpose in establishing the church is to make us worship God.
it is meant to do. We must worship according to the words of John 4:23-24.
23 The hour is coming when those who truly worship the Father will worship the Father in spirit and truth.
Now is the time. The Father is looking for those who worship him like this. 24 God is a Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
Second, the church is a place of prayer to God.
Matthew 21:13 "He said to them, It is written, My house is a house of prayer.
You will be called, but you make dens of robbers."
This is the verse Jesus quoted from Isaiah 56:7.
“I will lead him to my holy mountain, in my house of prayer,
I will please them, and their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar.
For my house will be called the house of prayer for all people."
Third, the church is a place of education.
Matthew 28:20 says, “Teach them to obey all that I have commanded you.
Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world."
the bible? In 2 Timothy 3:15-17
15 And since you were young you have known the Scriptures, which are able to teach you
for wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed for teaching, for reproof, for correction,
It is useful for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be perfected for every good work.
Fourth, the church is a place of mission and evangelism.
Acts 1:8 says, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will
You will be my witnesses in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”
Matthew 28:19-20 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations
Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit 20 Teach them to obey all that I have commanded you.
I will always be with you until the end of the world. God does not want only one nation or one person to be saved.
The reason is that God has spread the gospel to all nations, all peoples, and all mankind.
He wants all people to be saved, and for this mission
He established the church in this world.
1 Timothy 2:4 says, “God says that all men will be saved,
He wants to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Therefore, the church and the members of the church must also strive to fulfill this mission.
