“Then the Jews stirred up the godly noble ladies and the powerful men in the city, and they persecuted Paul and Barnabas and drove them out of that area. They threw dust on their feet and went to Iconium. The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. “Acts 13:50-52

On Paul and Barnabas's first missionary journey, it was the Jews who hindered their evangelistic work. They become enemies of Paul and Barnabas until the very end, and eventually become the mastermind of arresting Paul and Barnabas. In particular, judging from the record in verse 50 that the Jews incited godly nobles and powerful men in the city, it is considered that they were probably those who had an influential position religiously and socially within the city. So, through this text, perhaps we will deal with a problem that is very closely related to the problem we are facing in our country today.

Because it is very meaningful to say that it is the religious leaders who are confident that they believe in the same way that interfered with God's work. Therefore, in this time, we are trying to dig up some problems we are facing in our Christian life today and find answers by looking at the Jews as the religious leaders who drove out Paul and Barnabas.

We will put off the question of why they cast out Paul and Barnabas to the second issue, and first of all, from the point of view of the expelled Paul and Barnabas, what the Jews, the religious leaders, must have looked like, will be dealt with as the first issue. If there is one thing that stands in the way of making people believe in Jesus today, aren't those who believe in Jesus? It doesn't seem to get in the way of getting people to believe in Jesus by someone who believes in Buddhism, Islam, or any other religion at all.

Because this is the problem that Paul and Barnabas face on their missionary journey, and it is also the problem we face today. First of all, what is a priesthood? A priesthood is a person who has been specially chosen by God for his work and called as a servant to do God's work.

However, according to a rumor that came out one day, the preference for pastors by occupation is now second. What do you think would have made it second place? Dog oil has started to flow. All the pastors got fat, their eyes came out, and they wore gold-rimmed glasses and started doing this.

Because there are a lot of things like this these days. One spy enters to sell either side. So, pretending to be on your side, you damage their trust and sincerity. So shouldn't we be insulting the person who has suffered because of the consequences? This was done because of the evil-minded enemy's tactics of infiltrating the maidservant's side in order to damage their image. What if, in the north, a person was disguised as a politician, a soldier, or an educator at some point in the north to destroy all social and political order in our country, and plan to live in the south for a long period of time, thereby damaging the image of the work? Seeing that, the people became the politicians of our country.
