Christ is God (Colossians 1:15-23)
Missionary Sang-gyun Kim, who was sent to Egypt, told me about the Korean-style tracts last time that the most important part of making tracts for Muslims was that Jesus Christ should not be expressed in human form. The reason was that Muslims could not come to this earth in the form of a human being. My tract is that man died on the cross.
Approaching God through the resurrected and resurrected Jesus Christ is the key. Since Muslims cannot believe in Christ as God by expressing that way, I am still pondering how to express Jesus Christ when translating into Arabic.
The church in Colossae has many wrong views about Jesus Christ.
Paul heard the news. The Church of Colossae is Laodice in Asia Minor.
It was located just below the Church of Kia and from the inland to the Church of Ephesus on the coast.
It was located on the way. Paul never visited on a missionary trip
Jesus Christ was sent from prison in Rome for the church in Colossae, which has never been done before.
I felt the need to introduce myself again. Paul said Christ as God
As we listen to the testimonies, we can all see Christ more clearly and more clearly.
I hope it will be a time of grace to realize.
First, Christ is the eternal God (15, 17, 19)
Those who claim to be the great saint when people speak of Jesus Christ
There are many. This is a very one-sided view of Jesus Christ only as a human being.
It is a misguided humanistic idea. Such as Buddha, Confucius, or Muhammad
If we understand Jesus Christ by classifying it as a saint, then
It is a very wrong view of not seeing the divinity of Goal in today's text
Even the members of the Rosae Church believed that the people at the time were wrong about Jesus Christ.
Because the claims that were made were heavily polluted, the need to correct them is emphasized
Paul felt that he wrote the book of Colossians so that he could immediately believe in Jesus Christ.
The rock is clearly introduced.
The Colossians misbelieved Jesus Christ so differently from the Bible
Because there was, Paul had to introduce clearly about Christ.
(1) Because the people of Colossians were evil, God took on human flesh.
It was impossible to come into this world. But Paul said that Christ is correct
He is the image of God, God Himself, and died on the cross as a human being.
claimed. (2) The Colossians said that when God could not create evil
It means that God did not create this world full of sin.
All. But Paul said that Jesus Christ, who was God in the flesh, is in heaven and on earth.
It is the Creator who created . (3) The Colossians believed that Christ was
Not the only begotten Son of God, but many mediators between God and man
He said he was one. But Paul said that the way to salvation is through Christ.
It has been publicly claimed that it is done only through (4) The Colossians
They do not see Christ as the source of salvation, but rather the wisdom of special and mysterious people.
He insisted that only through expression one could find God. But Paul
Christ is the first of all things and the first of all resurrected creatures
As a fruit, reconciliation with God can only be achieved through the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Introduced by focusing on the gospel that you can.
Verse 15 says that Christ, the Son of God, is the image of the invisible God.
This means that it is the image of the invisible God.
It means that you are the image of God who has the same body as you. He said, "All things
the firstborn" (15, 17), who was the word from eternity
Dunn is God. He was born of Heavenly Father, who was born before eternity
He is God the Son, who is the same from eternity to eternity. John 8
In chapter 58, Jesus said, “Before Abraham was, I am.”
You said. “I am” is written as (I am), which means God
When expressing himself to this Moses, "I am who I am" (I am that I
am) is a word used with God in mind. in verse 19
“The Father causes all fullness to abide in Jesus”
Jesus has perfect divinity so that God the Father is the Son Jesus Christ
It is an expression that you are fully dwelling in the Way, and in other words, the one Father.
It means that you and God the Son exist as one.
The portion of the Bible that refers to Jesus Christ as God Himself
There are also more. Isaiah 9:6 says, “For to us a child is born,
A son is given to us, and on his shoulders is the government, and his name
is Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God.” John 1
Chapter 1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God.
The Word was God.” In Luke 1:47, “My
My heart rejoiced in God my Savior,” said Mary to herself.
They praised the conceived baby Jesus as God. In John 1:18
“No one has ever seen God, but the only begotten One who is in the bosom of the Father.
The begotten God has revealed it.” John 20:30
In the verse, "Thomas answered and said, My Lord and my God.
and confessed that Jesus was God. In Romans 9:5, Paul says, “The flesh
As for God, Christ was begotten of them, and I am over all
God to be praised, Amen." Jesus said,
clearly states that he is God. In Titus 2:13
“Waiting for the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
” Paul said, saying that Jesus Christ is the Savior and God.
clearly explained. Quoting Psalm 45:6 from Hebrews 1:8
“As for the Son, O God, Your throne endures forever, and the scepter of Your kingdom
is a fair scepter." He said, saying that Jesus, the Son of God, is God.
I am speaking clearly. Jesus is mentioned a lot in the New Testament.
The part that is expressed is the expression that Jesus is God.
During this Christmas season, Jesus Christ came to this earth as a perfect man.
You can become believers who clearly believe that He is an eternal and perfect God.
I hope there is.
Second, Christ is the Creator of all things (16)
The clearest evidence that Jesus Christ is God is that Jesus
He is the creator and ruler of the earth and all that is in it.
is. that all things were created by Christ for Christ
This is evidence in many places in the Bible. In John 1:3, “All things are
was made because of him, nothing that was made was made without him.
It is clear that all things were created by Christ.
is being mentioned. In today's text, we will learn more about what all things are.
There is a clear mention. All things in heaven and on earth are visible and invisible
All things were created by Christ. even in the sky
Angels were also created by Jesus Christ. So Jesus and the angel
The main difference is that angels are creatures and Jesus is the creator.
All. The word “throne” refers to the state’s authority or the seat of authority.
Dominions are rulers, rulers, or governments, and rulers are powers.
Sena refers to sovereignty or government, and authorities are influence or dominion.
I mean jurisdiction. All politics on this earth are also related to Greece.
It was created for Christ by the Way.
Furthermore, in the latter half of verse 17 it says, “In him all things stand together.”
All things are held together in Christ. to Christ
It is an expression of holding on to all things. The writer of Hebrews 1:3
I have expressed it a little more clearly. "Uphold all things by the word of his power,
He upholds all things by the word of his power."
But Christ is in control over all things by the word of His power.
is the word. Jesus Christ calms the storm with the word,
He controlled demons with the word, five barley loaves and two fish
He made great quantities of it, and made the water into wine, and the word
He healed the sick and raised the dead. all things are of Jesus Christ
At the Second Coming, all will be redeemed, and all thorns and thorns will disappear,
All things polluted by this will be purified and become a new heaven and a new earth, the Creator
You will go out to a place where you can praise Jesus. Jesus Christ is
God created, redeemed, and provided, and furthermore, the Word of all things.
He is a God who rules with We are all Jesus who created us
May we believe and praise Christ as the Creator and Preserve of all things.
Third, through Christ we have been reconciled to God (18-23).
There are three main things that Christ, the God, has done for us humans.
It can be summarized and explained as (1) Only God can satisfy God’s justice
He can pay for the sins of those who believe in him. (2) Salvation belongs to the Lord
No man can save man because it comes from
You can save humans. (3) A perfect human being and a perfect God is human.
You can be a mediator between you and God. fully God and human
Christ alone is the Mediator, revealing God to us,
can lead you to God. Therefore, only Christ as God
He atoned for our sins to save us and to create a mediator between us and God.
He is the only savior.
That is why Christ, God and Creator, died on the cross and was wealthy.
In verse 18, it says, “He was the firstborn from the dead.”
Verse 22 says, “Now he has reconciled through the death of his flesh.”
There is. Christ, God, died on the cross for our sins.
He has reconciled us to God. So the cross and wealth of Jesus
He made the bow the supreme and fundamental of all things and the head of the church. God that
Because of his kindness, he exalted him, making him supreme over all
you did it Furthermore, through the death of Christ, who is God,
We, who were enemies with God, have been reconciled to God, so that God’s holy and blemish
became a childless child. Christ, who is God, makes us the body of the church.
It is a blessing to have established you as a child of God and to be reconciled to God.
Well, Paul became a minister of this gospel and was imprisoned in a Roman prison.
It was. We stand firm on this very gospel, unwaveringly witnessing
When we do, this gospel will be preached to all peoples under the world.
Dear saints,
Jesus Christ is the eternal and perfect God. Jesus Christ is the creator and preserver of all things. But Christ, who is God, died on the cross for our sins and rose again. Let us believe and serve Christ, who is God, as our Savior and Lord. Furthermore, let us acknowledge Christ as the head of our church and give him the supreme place in our lives. So, I pray in the name of the Lord that we can become believers who live a life that allows Christ, who is God, to be glorified through us.
