Title Colossians 01:21-29 A proud worker
A proud worker
Colossians 1:21-29
The Apostle Paul was very moved by the fact that he became a minister of the church.
I was happy and proud.
How are we? how about myself
Among the blessings that the saints enjoy, the greatest blessing is to become a church worker.
Blessing.
Why is it a blessing to be a church worker?
Let's read verse 25.
I became a church worker because God gave me for you.
to fulfill the word of God according to the economy.
The blessing of those who became church workers is that God has called us to be workers.
will be
I became a church worker not because I was able.
I don't even deserve it. It wasn't because I wanted to be.
Totally God Called
because of. That is a blessing.
God has called me. God is using me.
God called me, but he didn't just call me.
He said that he was called according to the economy.
In other words, according to the economic plan that was foreordained in order to fulfill the providence of God,
that you have called us.
There is no coincidence in what God does.
It was ordained by God in advance and called according to providence.
Church workers, give thanks for God's providence and economy.
And be faithful to the task entrusted to you.
The Apostle Paul confesses in his letter to Timothy:
1 Timothy 1:12, 13.
I am thankful to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me
Recognized as faithful, he entrusted me with his ministry; I used to be a blasphemer and a persecutor.
He was a rapist, but found mercy when I did not believe.
I did it without knowing it.
When I did not know the Lord, I was a rapist, a persecutor, and an evildoer.
You have changed me, you have given me grace, and you have made me a faithful worker.
How could you not be grateful for this?
Before we knew the Lord, we were persecutors of the Lord.
I wasn't ready to give my life to the Lord at all.
It was people. But the Lord has changed me and made me the
Since you made me a worker, how can I not thank you?
Paul says I am the chief of sinners.
God has made me, like the worst of sinners, a servant of the church.
confessed.
I pray that this confession will become the confession of you and me today.
Second, the reason that working in the church is a blessing is because you have received God’s mission.
because of.
It is a blessing because you have received God's mission.
The New Translation of verse 25, which we read, says this.
I ask God to spread the word of God exhaustively for you.
I became a servant of the church according to the mission entrusted to me.
God gave me and you to accomplish God's will.
You called.
And he gave me a mission. So we are the missionaries
has been But we are not usually missionaries.
It is the mission of the Word that God has called to preach the Word without fail.
The word of God given to us through the 66 books of the Bible, without leaving any words,
He is a precious missionary entrusted to spread the truth.
So we must fulfill this mission.
Through home worship at home, in small group meetings, at Sunday school, at work
You must preach or teach.
You should realize how amazing this mission is.
The mission of preaching the word is the mission God has entrusted to church workers.
It's an amazing mission.
that it doesn't come.
I stayed up all night writing sermon manuscripts and reading and re-reading manuscripts all night long.
that is shrimp.
It is such a precious and precious thing to be entrusted with the word of God.
Dear saints,
If you were entrusted with the word of God, wouldn't your heart be pounding?
Don't you have a desire to go quickly and spread the word of God?
We are missionaries of the Word.
Dear saints,
Be a church worker.
If any of you are not yet in ministry,
Enter any ministry team and do the ministry.
No matter what job you do, whatever job you do, it’s about sharing Christ with you.
Know that it is a ministry and fulfill your mission as a church worker.
The problem is sharing this secret and nurturing people with the secret word.
that it's not easy.
Because there are hardships in that work, many people are unwilling to do it.
Says:
I now rejoice in the afflictions I suffer for you, and the remnant of Christ
I fill my body with suffering for the sake of his body, the church.
The Apostle Paul says that there is a remnant of the sufferings of Christ.
They say it fills my body.
But Jesus said that it was finished on the cross.
Need more?
Suffering is not necessary for salvation. The suffering for salvation is over,
The sufferings necessary to preach this salvation and to nurture those who have been saved
remains.
Who should do it? You and I must.
This is the hardship you left for me and you.
The Apostle Paul said that suffering fills my body.
As I meditate on these words, I say that the Apostle Paul fills my lips
I realized it wasn't.
It is not that we suffer with the mouth, but that we suffer with the flesh.
What is a body? Life. Sharing Christ with my life
It means that they are happy with the hardships they face while sharing and nurturing the secret.
If we do not pour out the selfish blood that is within us, we will pour out the precious blood of Christ.
We can't keep it in us.
We must put in us the blood of grace, the blood of sacrifice.
To do that, we pour out our selfish things and bear the sufferings of Christ.
It is something I have to fill my body with.
That suffering should be regarded as joy.
How is this possible?
The Apostle Paul is not on my own. I have someone I depend on.
We are talking about doing it through him. Verse 29.
To this end, I also, according to the work of him who works in me with power,
toil with all
What a hopeful message is this? I'm not forcing myself to do it.
If you start to force yourself to do the work of the church, problems start there.
Don't force it.
Follow Him who works in me with power
Do you have someone working within you? Who is he?
You are the Holy Spirit.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit and do it. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and bear it.
I am not following my thoughts.
He says there is someone working in me.
To follow Him and toil with all your might.
Dear saints,
You and I are blessed workers of the church
