Title Colossians 02:6-15 Faith in Christ
Content: Faith in Christ (Colossians 2:6-15)
Help me to look to you with longing hearts and to listen to the word of God's grace with a humble heart. May we be refreshed in soul and body through your spiritual grace, and give each of us the words we need so that we may experience the wonderful power of your words.
1. Faith in Christ must be the starting point of our lives.
Today we are going to talk about faith in Christ, the conclusion of our faith series.
Faith in Christ is the conclusion but also the beginning of our life of faith. Faith in Christ must be our starting point. The words of Revelation (Rev 1:8) 'I am the Alpha and the Omega, said the Lord God, who is, and was, and who is to come, the Almighty.' This is Jesus Christ, and he is the center of the Christian faith. Our religious life should be about knowing Jesus Christ accurately, believing, and getting to know more.
2. How should we effectively demonstrate our Christian faith?
1) It is to accurately testify of what Christianity is and what Christ is saying.
2) It is important to know who Jesus Christ is.
3) Who is the best witness to Christianity? Only those who know the real Christ can testify.
4) Who is the best Christian? A good Christian is someone who knows Jesus Christ best, resembles him, and follows him rightly.
5) Who is victorious in the Christian life? Those who believe in Jesus Christ and gain strength in faith in Him to overcome difficulties and all problems are the ones who truly win.
(1 John 5:1) 'Everyone who believes in Jesus Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves him who gave him loves him who is born of him'
(1 John 5:4-5) 'For everyone who is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith.
(Romans 8:31-39) 'What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? cannot be separated from the love of God that is within'
Those who believe in Jesus Christ and are in God's arms will not fail in any difficulties, tribulations, and problems, and can overcome and overcome them. It is important and necessary to know Jesus Christ aright and to have faith in Christ.
3. Many people today live with their own Christ.
We live our lives earnestly, wishing for happiness through our own Christ, but it is not the true answer and happiness of our lives. The Christ we should truly seek is the King of kings and Lord of lords, when we truly follow Christ, we will find answers in our lives.
4. Who is Christ?
Jesus Christ is the Christ who was born on this earth two thousand years ago in a virgin body, lived for 30 years, taught for three years, died on the cross for our sins, and rose on the third day. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will come as the Second Coming Lord and as the Judgment Lord. But Jesus is not only on the heavenly throne, but comes into believers through the Spirit of Resurrection and the Holy Spirit to help, move, guide, and bless us daily. It is important to believe in this fact.
There are things that Jesus considered important during his three years
(Mt 16:15-19) 'He said, 'Who do you say I am...' Everything (church, life) is set up right, and even the power of Hades and Satan cannot overcome us. The entire Bible tells of one person, Jesus Christ. Believe and follow Jesus Christ alone, and everyone who believes in Him will be saved, and those who are saved will live a life blessed by God.
In the Old Testament, the person who is to come, Jesus Christ, is shown symbolically and figuratively through various characters and events. Noah's flood tells us that Jesus Christ is our ark, that we can live by believing in Jesus Christ. In the Tower of Babel incident, we are talking about the eventual destruction of humans even if they do not believe in God and Jesus Christ and build the Tower of Babel. The birth of Jesus was announced through the blood of Abraham, and Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph were blessed because they believed in Jesus Christ who would come through the blood. In particular, through the models of prophets, priests, and kings, the event of redemption on the cross is shown.
5. Today's text best describes Jesus as the Christ.
(Colossians 2:6-15) 'Therefore, since you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, and walk in Him, . If we hold on to Jesus Christ and go out, we will be freed from all the power of sin. Jesus did all the work of Christ on the cross. Therefore, we will live a victorious life in the problems of life.
6. We must have faith in Christ alone.
