Title Conclusion and Judgment

Text: Matthew 25:14-21
Every year at the end of the year, generous prizes are prepared and the whole school Cheoksa Contest is held. What is unusual is that the proceeds from ticket sales for the Cheoksa Competition were used to help neighbors in need. However, what is more memorable is that there was a surprise event to match the 10 major news of Mokyang Church in 2002 during the Cheoksa Contest. Please listen carefully.
Looking at the top 10 news, we reflect, analyze, and evaluate what we did and what happened during the year. Just as a bank sees the settlement of accounts every day, the church also decided on a new executive at the session for the settlement of accounts, and the charge conference passed the final financial settlement and the new year's budget. To do this is called settlement in the world, and judgment in the Bible. Today, Matthew 25 consists of three parables. ① The parable of the ten virgins (verses 1-13) ② the parable of the talents (verses 14-30) ③ the parable of the king (verses 31-46) It is explained.]
First, the parable of the ten virgins (verses 1-13) is also called 'the parable of the five wise virgins and the five foolish virgins'. that you had At that time, the Jewish wedding custom started after the sun went down, so the bridesmaids go out to meet the groom and his friends. But the main difference between them is that they prepare enough oil. It makes me angry because of it. They were kicked out, unable to participate in the feast, and wept bitterly and regretted it. What does 'oil' mean here? Some claim it is faith and good works, or the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:18), the grace of God. A.L. Williems sees it as the Holy Spirit and the grace of God and interprets the text as follows:
'The wise virgins received the Holy Spirit and constantly thanked God for the grace of God and led a better life of faith. On the other hand, the foolish virgins were satisfied with the grace they received in the past and just stayed at the level of faith where they were immersed in inertia and kept their spiritual level. We are lazy to exalt.' Gentlemen, our faith must grow, and our spirituality must be enriched.
Dear brothers and sisters, I hope that until the day our Lord comes again, we pray that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit and stay awake in the grace of the Lord and prepare to meet the Lord.
The second is the talent parable. This is a business to the people of the world, and a ministry and a mission to us Christians. Traders must make a profit to make a profit. I do my best for him. Since we have received a mission from Christ and received the office of deacon, priest, and elder, we must do our best and be faithful to death. In particular, in today's text, it is said that he was entrusted with 5 talents, 2 talents, and 1 talent according to his talents, but this is not a small amount. Considering that 1 talent is equivalent to 34 kg of gold in weight and 6000 denarii in terms of money, the daily wage of a worker is 1 denarius, which is a huge amount of money to be collected without spending a penny for 16 years and 5 months. In analogy, if 1 talent is a deacon, 2 talents is a magistrate, and 5 talents is an elder, I think you should be faithful to death for 16 years per 1 talent. Officials must use their talents as teachers, choirs, guides, donation committee members, cleaning, beautifying the environment, flower arrangement, car service, vehicle operation, evangelism, leading prayer groups, and visiting rooms. The Lord counts accordingly. Remember, you settle and you judge.
Third, the parable of the king is the parable of the sheep and the goats (verses 31-46). This is a parable foretelling the judgment of the Lord. In the Lord's eyes, the sheep are those who humble themselves, serve, take care of their neighbors, give, and think of the Lord. Conversely, those who think only of themselves, the selfish, and the individual are said to be goats. ‘Sheep’ goes to heaven, and ‘goat’ goes to hell. Which side am I on?
Dear Shepherd Church members, do not forget that our Jesus is the one who clearly settles accounts and judges, and we pray that you will live a blessed life that is faithful to death by the power of the Holy Spirit, looking forward to that day. Our Lord watches, counts, and pays. I pray that the Lord's help will be with you in the new year. Hallelujah!!
