Acts 18:9-28
Paul also did many ministries in Corinth. In 18:11, we can see that the long time of one year and six months
I preached the gospel. At this time today, Paul continued to preach in Corinth, and God
We want to learn the work of the Holy Spirit, who moves us to Ephesus and Antioch to work.
The scene of the Lord appearing to Paul one day in a vision and speaking is recorded in verses 9-10.
There are times when God appears in special crises, at certain events, or at turning points in our lives.
Perhaps Paul was afraid at the time and wanted to leave Corinth.
Even though Corinth is a promiscuous and rebellious area, He says that there are many people of God.
There are lost people of God.
It is like the heart of the owner who has a hundred sheep and searches for the one lost sheep. This is the heart of God.
It may seem simple to go to the market to buy the lost sheep, but the owner's heart is not. Recently, there have been cases of forced burial of cattle, chickens and pigs in Korea due to foot-and-mouth disease.
I understood Jesus' parable of the lost sheep as I watched an interview on a TV show that said the same words that their owners said was too painful to kill an animal they raised like their own.
And the famous parable of the prodigal son is also a word that helps us understand the heart of God.
With that feeling right now, what he says to Paul in a vision is that there are many of my people in it too.
If we truly believe in God, we must have the heart of God like Paul.,
Do you have the heart of God in your heart?
In fact, Paul must have been eager to leave Corinth as soon as possible and go elsewhere.
God appeared in a vision to such an object and spoke words of comfort to Paul.
A person of God is a person who has the heart of God. If you are truly God's people, do you have the heart of God? You can find out by looking at Are You Still Believing in Jesus?
After hearing these words of comfort, Paul gathered up the courage and stayed in Corinth for a year and six months, preaching the gospel. Verse 11 clearly records that period.
Here we learn to have the spirit of Christian living.
Why do I live in this area? Why did I move to this area? Do you like the air?
Are there many good schools? Is it because real estate is where it will go up?
We must never forget that God has always sent me to this area.
I must remember that He was sent to save the many dying souls in the area where I live.
The area where I live, the workplace I attend, and the school I attend are mission fields.
It was not because Paul and Corinth liked them, so they did not live there for 1 year and 6 months. Paul's true intentions were to leave the area quickly. However, God spoke to Paul in a vision.
We too may believe if God speaks to us in any vision, but now we do not see such a vision, so we do not know that this mission exists and are just living our lives.
