Title Cows/Leviticus 2:1-16
Contents
The grain offering is the offering of grain to God. If the burnt offering, which is a sacrifice of living things and shedding blood, is a sacrifice that shows the crown of redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ, the meal offering is a sacrifice that teaches the devotion that those who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ should offer to God.
Whereas the burnt offering more emphasized the aspect of the sacrifice, the grain offering emphasized the aspect of the gift, the human gift to God. But we must remember that there can be no grain offering without the burnt offering. In other words, unless a right relationship is established between me and God through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross, our offerings are meaningless.
(Material for the meal)
Verses 1-2 speak of fine flour. And you need oil and frankincense.
In other words, fine flour is 'the best flour'. This means that when we want to give something to God, we must give the best. Next, oil and frankincense mean the work of the Holy Spirit and the work of prayer. It is said that our devotion must be offered in the Holy Spirit and through prayer. It is a meaningful spiritual interpretation, but rather than that, due to the nature of oil and frankincense, it is said that These are things that make you good So I think these two teach us that the dedication we are supposed to give should be truly beautiful and fragrant. What has God given us? Did you give me youth? Did you give me time? If you have a talent that others do not have, you should give it to God and be faithful. We believe that when we give the best of what we have been given, it will become a beautiful fragrance.
You will also see that God made sacrifices in various ways in consideration of the economic situation of the people who serve Him.4,5,7, Our God wants to give the best of what we have. I'm not asking you to give up what you don't have.

There are some ingredients that must be added when making a meal offering and some that must not be added. Verse 11... Leaven must not enter.
There is a meaning of leaven, and in the Bible it is used as a model of what is evil, unclean, and sinful. 1 Corinthians 5:6-7 It is not right for you to boast. Do you not know that a little yeast spreads over the whole lump? You are unleavened, and cast away the old leaven that it may become a new lump, for our Passover lamb, Christ, has been sacrificed.
This emphasizes the rapid contagiousness of sin by comparing it to the spread of leaven. Indeed, that is the nature of sin.
And what should be the attitude of the saints who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ? 1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, not with leaven that is wicked and wicked, but with unleavened bread of purity and truth.
Matthew 16:11 Why do you not understand that what I have said is not about bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees. nira
As such, leaven is not written in a good sense in the Bible. That is why leaven must never enter the grain offering. That is, our devotion must be truly pure and sincere. So have you become an unleavened devotion as a Sunday School teacher, a choir, and a deacon? I believe you should take a look.
The second is that honey must not enter.
In the Bible, honey is sometimes used very well, but sometimes it is also written badly. Proverbs 25:27 It is not good to eat much honey, and it is futile to seek your own honor. Proverbs 5:3 It drips honey, and its mouth is slippery than oil,
Honey is used here in the sense that our devotion to the Lord equates to seeking our pleasure, honor, or self-gratification. I believe that it should be pure dedication, not self-satisfaction.
The next essential ingredient is salt. Verse 13...Read
As we well know, salt is an ingredient used to prevent spoilage, and if this salt is not added to all foods, you will see that it does not taste good. Therefore, devotion to God must have an unchanging heart and is pleasing to God.
In Numbers 18:19, it says, “All the holy things that the children of Israel offer to the Lord as an offering, I give to you and to your descendants as an everlasting meal, an unchanging covenant of salt before the Lord, to you and to your descendants.”
It means 'covenant of salt', meaning an unchanging covenant. The promise of marriage is a covenant of salt. The reason you say you love me and then change is because it is a covenant not to add salt from the beginning. Our covenant with the Lord is the salt covenant.
4 (distribution of meal offerings)
God's share--- Read verse 2 A handful of fine powder This handful is a memorial to the entire offering. The giver should say, 'God, I give this handful, but I give it to the Lord with a heart that gives everything I have. When you give tithes to God, you must give them with a heart of giving the whole. God is giving us the whole and looking at our hearts by telling us to give a part.
(Priest's portion) --- Read verse 3 It tells us to give the grain offering first to God, and then give the rest to Aaron and his descendants. God wanted to share with them what was given to Him. Those who live by the gospel should know that it is not strange at all to live by the gospel.
(The giver's portion) The giver has a portion to receive. What is? Nothing. In other words, it must be a complete dedication. It must be given thoroughly.
Beloved, the noblest thing we have to offer to God is the offering of ourselves.
Ladies and gentlemen, we must not forget this office. The wise men from the East came to Jesus, and first they fell down and worshiped him. And it was a gift. Therefore, you must first give yourself to the Lord.
2 Corinthians 8:5 Not only did we hope, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us according to the will of God.
Beloved, we must first give ourselves to God. The boy who offered five barley loaves and two fish had an experience. This was the case with the widow of Zarephath. Abraham did. If you also give your full devotion to the Lord, please believe that the Holy Spirit will work upon you after receiving you so that we can experience God's wonderful grace. Amen
