People moderately compromise when difficulties arise or when they risk losing money. I think that's flexibility and wisdom. However, there are some things that should never be compromised. That's faith. Daniel shows the behavior of a true believer in the extreme situation of death, not the degree of damage.

1. Daniel praying (verse 10)

Daniel knew the contents of the decree issued by the king. Daniel never gave up praying, even though he knew that if he prayed to God as he was doing, he would die. Three times a day I knelt and prayed toward Jerusalem. He was just doing his job as usual. He had the foundation of absolute faith to fear and serve God more than anything else in the world. Not only did he appear upright and good on the outside, but he wanted to live upright and good before God. A person who has confidence in God like Daniel is not afraid of anything. Daniel's unchanging faith becomes a model for us living in the instant era.

2. Daniel being accused (v. 11)

Those who were jealous of Daniel watched him in secret. And when they discover that Daniel had prayed and worshiped God, as expected, they quickly went to the king and sued him. They first refer to the decree issued by the king to prevent the king from overturning the decree. After hearing the king's clear statement of the decree, they sue Daniel. He sued Daniel in a very clever way so that even the king could not do anything. Their plot seems to be bearing fruit. It seems that nothing can stop them. Now all that remains is to put Daniel into the lions' den. As such, Satan's conspiracies cannot be overcome by human wisdom and power.

3. Dariuri trying to save Daniel (v. 14)

King Darius is deeply troubled when he learns that the officials have been accused of Daniel. It was because he realized later that Daniel had to die instead of cherishing it because of his rash decision. The king does his best until the sun goes down to rescue Daniel from death. Seeing how much the king cares for Daniel like this shows how highly he valued Daniel's ability and economy. There are times when even the saints cannot overcome difficulties with any person in the world, by any force, or by any means. But at this time, the saints should never be discouraged or disappointed. You can't win with the world's methods, but if God intervenes, the story will change. Do we not try to overcome difficulties in worldly ways?

Daniel knew he had fallen into a trap, but he did not compromise. Because I knew that there was never any compromise in faith. He was a believer who only looked to God. We, too, should live our lives as believers while looking only at God without compromising with the world.
