The people of God's kingdom must be prepared for the hardships they will experience in life. But there is an end to suffering. In the text, Daniel learns the meaning of the vision he had seen. What was the meaning of Daniel's vision?
1. Daniel is helped by an angel (verses 15-16)
Daniel, who was overcome with fear and anxiety because of the vision he had seen so far, learns the meaning of the vision with the help of an angel. The angel told Daniel that the four beasts in the vision represent the future empire that will appear on this earth. He also said that the people of God's kingdom have been given the authority to rule with the Lord in His kingdom, and this will not be temporary, it will be eternal. The angel reiterates three times that the kingdom of God will be eternal. In the Old Testament, God sent angels to reveal the will of revelation to the saints, and in the New Testament, He sent the Holy Spirit to each person. We must strive every day to know God's will with the help of the Holy Spirit.
2. Daniel learned the meaning of the vision (verse 19)
Daniel wanted to know about the vision of the fourth most terrifying beast. This beast had iron teeth, brass claws, ten horns on its head, and a mouth that spoke loud blasphemy against God. This beast was more vicious and cruel than other beasts and continued to persecute the saints, and this persecution will continue for a set period of time (three and a half years). If you look at the history of the church, you can see that God's people were constantly persecuted by the power of Satan. Satan's persecution will continue in the future. But it is temporary. Evil forces will lose their power completely in due time. Therefore, believers must realize that there is an end to all tribulation and suffering. You can win when you keep your faith and live a life of perseverance.
3. The eternal authority of God's people (verse 27)
At the appointed time according to God's prophecy, one like the Son of Man will come on the clouds and judge the beasts. The monstrous beast will be deprived of all power and his kingdom will perish and disappear. Instead, God will empower His people through Jesus Christ. God's people will reign with Jesus Christ and rule the Messianic Kingdom. The final victorious kingdom, the eternal kingdom, will be the kingdom ruled only by the Lord Jesus Christ. Please stand in the place of blessing only with faith. The Lord does not disappoint us. I hope that we will all become people of the kingdom of God together.
From the beginning of this world to the end, God meticulously plans, provides, and controls all history. The saints may be defeated by evil forces now, but in the last days, they will be victorious with the power of God and receive the eternal kingdom. We just have to believe and do our best to live each day.
