Each person has a different way of overcoming the challenges they face. Christians can overcome difficulties through prayer. However, the most important thing when praying is your attitude before God. This is because God sees the spiritual attitude and responds.
What attitude should we have as Christians?
1. You should read the Bible every day (verses 1-2).
It happened in my first year as King Darius. Daniel discovers God's plan while reading the book of Jeremiah. It means that Israel will return to Babylon after 70 years of captivity under God's plan. Through the book of Jeremiah, he realized that the time for Israel's return from captivity was near. Here we can see that Daniel was a person who usually read and studied the Bible a lot. He was able to prepare for the future when he realized the deep meaning of the Word through Bible reading and study.
Are we close to the Bible? I hope you will meet the Lord every day in the Word full of truth and wisdom.
2. Pray every day (verse 3).
Realizing that the time for Israel's return was near, Daniel began to pray. They fasted, put on sackcloth, and covered themselves with ashes and prayed. He prayed for God's mercy and mercy. Daniel's prayerful attitude shows how humble he was before God. God is pleased with those who humble themselves. God hears the voice of the humble. God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.
We should pray with the same attitude as Daniel did. If we pray with a humble heart and attitude without questioning God's power, God will hear and answer our prayers.
3. We must repent every day (verses 4-5).
Daniel earnestly asked God for mercy and mercy and confessed his sin and the sins of the people of Israel. Israel's sin was rebellion from the law and ignoring God's warnings and exhortations to repent. God gave the Word and sent prophets to warn them to repent, but Israel refused to do so and did evil. As a result, Israel was destroyed and lived in captivity in a foreign land. Daniel was convinced that even though Israel had sinned, God would have mercy on them and forgive them. God forgives and accepts those who repent of their sins and return with the same heart as their parents.
We too must repent of our sins to God. We must pray with the sins of individuals and nations. A merciful God will forgive our sins and have mercy on us.
A good Christian needs not only to have an outward appearance, but also to have an inner attitude, that is, a spiritual attitude. Daniel was such a believer. What do we lack? I bless you to become a Christian recognized by God, a person of Christ that is pleasing to God.
