Title Dardagum/ Act 5:41
Content Dalgam / Act 5:41
Key Verse: “Little girl, I say to you, get up” (Mark 5:41).
Word: When Jesus crossed the Sea of Galilee in a boat, a large crowd appeared before him. At that time, one of the synagogue leaders, Jairus, knelt down before Jesus and prayed, “My little daughter is about to die. Come and lay your hands on her so that she may be saved and live.” On the way to the synagogue leader's house, a woman who had been bleeding for 12 years thought that it would be better if she touched Jesus' clothes, so she came and touched Jesus' clothes, and she was healed immediately.
Before Jesus and the great crowd reached the synagogue leader's house, the ruler's daughter died. But when Jesus arrived at the synagogue leader's house and said, "Little girl, I say to you, get up." The dead daughter got up immediately.
When can we receive God's blessings? Just because you are good, because you are wise, because you have great talent, or because you are great, does not mean that you are blessed by God.
If you have your own means, methods, and depend on something, you will not be able to properly experience God's power. When you completely depend on God and die on your own, God's amazing power will be revealed. Paul said, “I die daily.” The only qualification to receive the blessings of the gospel is when we die, that is, when we become like the dead.
Jesus cares equally for all sinners and suffering people in this world. Just as the sea receives all the rivers that flow from the land, so is the heart of Jesus. He is the one who loves the sick, the suffering, the grieving, and the heavy laden in this world with a broad heart. The leader of the synagogue, Jairus, was a prominent figure from the upper classes whose name was recorded in the Bible. He has position, authority, and ability. In contrast, the woman with the hemorrhage was a nameless, poor, sick, and unclean woman. Although the circumstances of the two men were completely different, their wish came true when they came to Jesus in faith.
If you come to Jesus thinking that you are completely dead without relying on my own means, possessions, and means, Jesus will never send you away empty-handed. The closer we get to God, the more God, the source of all blessings, comes to us to give us ten thousand kinds of grace.
Prayer: God, help me not to rely on my own strength, but only to believe in Jesus Christ. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
