Title David overcame the crisis
Contents
Hymn: 223 "The world's toil is over"
Meditation: Let's overcome the crisis with thanks and praise.
Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed
Text: “O LORD my strength, I love you… ” (Psalm 18:1-6)
Word: David, the main character of today's text, lived a life of hardship. Because God loved David, he continued to give us crises and gave us the blessing of being able to rely on God each time. David had no choice but to receive the blessing because he depended on the Lord to the end. The core of today's message is David's praise to God who rescued him from Saul's oppression. Before becoming king, David was a shepherd, and there was a time when he hid in a cave to escape King Saul. Even as a king, he faced many difficulties in battles with neighboring countries, but each time he was victorious by the grace of God.
David was able to overcome numerous crises because he was always praising and giving thanks to God. In today's text, David is in a very difficult situation. It was like being entangled in the ropes of Hades and the snare of death. But David prays with the confidence that God will bless and save him because he loves him. As David prayed to God, he confessed and praised God who could solve all problems in life.
Dear brothers and sisters, God is helping us with all our problems with the utmost grace. Like David, I hope you will experience God to the end and believe in God's amazing power. And not only children who seek difficulties, but like David, we must have the faith to confess, “I praise you, Jehovah, who has become my strength.”
As we continue to learn the Word and live our prayer life, like David, we must become the bearers of faith who praise and rejoice to the end.
No matter what difficulties we face, let's praise the Lord and go forward. We must not lose heart and overcome the crisis through the Word and run thanks to God.
Prayer: Father God, grant us David's faith so that we can go forward praising the Lord, who has been my strength until the end. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
