Sermons for Preaching

Title Dear Saints! God write you..

Content God uses those who are prepared.

Don't be stingy with compliments. There is a term called “partial stimulation” in persuasion techniques. No matter how incompetent he may be, he has an innate talent in one area. Encouraging and maximizing that part is to absorb everything around you and develop your ego. Einstein was also an ordinary person by nature. He has been branded as illiterate since elementary school. He took the exam at the Swiss Polytechnic University and failed. However, Professor Heltz, who was the dean of the university, saw his math answer sheet, called him, and encouraged him, "Your math grades are amazing and all professors admire. Don't give up studying, even if you want to study math intensively." This is what made him later become a world-famous great physicist. Man does not live on bread alone, but on this comforting and loving encouragement.

Let's develop hidden talents. Paul was more attracted to what was hidden within him than to what was revealed to Timothy. “In my supplications day and night without ceasing, I think of you and give thanks to God who has served since my ancestors with a pure conscience, and I want to see you because of your tears, so that my joy may be full. Because this faith was first in your maternal grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, I am convinced that it is also in you” (2 Timothy 1:3-6). When Paul entrusted the Ephesus church to him, he urged him to become a good spiritual leader. "Let no one despise your youth..." (12). Spiritual leadership does not come from age and experience, but from spirituality. That's why I asked them not to lose the dignity of a leader by developing hidden gifts.

First: Let's develop personality.

Verse to read: “Command and teach these things, that no one will despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity” (11-12)

What is your personality like? The only test that can verify your personality is the Word of God. When you put yourself before the Word of God, you can accurately evaluate your appearance. God created human beings in his own image and made men and women help each other to form a community and live as the lords of all creations. Therefore, human beings must know how to confess their right faith to God. You must have a mature citizenship that can cooperate with your neighbors. And we must have proper stewardship before nature and material things.

A leader must be an example. Education by example is what gives the most influence among education. Therefore, education that sets an example is the most difficult and difficult education. The Jewish leaders, the Pharisees, failed in this education. But our Lord set an example for all mankind as the Good Shepherd (John 10:4). Leaders must stay one step ahead of the flock in all areas of life.

Second: Let's practice the word.

Words to read "Until I come, focus on reading, on exhorting, and on teaching" (13).

You must be an expert on the Bible. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). The Bible is called the Bible. This word comes from the Greek word vibria ( -books), and it also contains the meaning of "a book among books." That's why it's called canon ( ) in other words. These are rules, rules and regulations. The Bible is the supreme norm by which human conduct is measured. Therefore, humans must first know the meaning of this book and live life. This is because God's will for mankind is hidden here. That's why it's called Revelation. What do you need to do to find these?

Word training. ① Let's do our best to read. The Bible should be read regularly. Just as we eat regularly for our bodies, we need to read the Word of God regularly for our souls. The Israelites ate manna that came down from heaven in the wilderness for forty years. This was a spiritual training. ② Let us do what we recommend wisely. In order to be able to exhort through the Word, you must meditate deeply on the Word you have read. “These words I am commanding you today will be kept in your heart, and you will teach them diligently to your children, and you will preach them when you sit at home and when you walk on the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). said ③ Let's focus on teaching. Teaching is not just education, but instruction, including instruction. Those who teach must clearly know the will of God. Only then can you boldly rebuke them.

Third: Let's develop gifts.

Verse to read: “Be careful not to do what is within you, which was received through prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you” (14).

Let's develop hidden gifts. A gift is charisma, and it is a gift from God when the saints who have received grace serve the Lord's Church. So, when God gives a gift, what does it give? In fulfilling that mission, we will provide you with tools and equipment that are suitable for you. Therefore, it is absolutely impossible to do it with the talents I have, but if I use the gifts God gives me, I will be able to handle it generously. Digging with a hoe or shovel can be difficult, but with heavy equipment such as a forklift, it can be easily done. Likewise, when you preach the gospel, it is difficult to do it with the world's elementary studies and philosophy, but if you pray and receive strength and use the power of the Holy Spirit, you will conquer the power of Satan.

The gift must be set on fire. Only when the gift is set on fire will work happen. So Paul is kindling Timothy's gift on fire. “Therefore, I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is in you by the laying on of my hands” (2 Timothy 1:6). If the missionary did not utilize his gifts and buried them, it is a spiritual neglect of duty. "The one who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money, and the master answered and said, "You wicked and lazy servant..." (Matthew 25:18, 26). Don't be envious of the gifts of others. Let's develop the hidden gifts in ourselves.

Fourth: Let's do a holiness movement.

Reading Be wholeheartedly devoted to all these things, that my progress may be made visible to all. Be careful with yourself and your teachings, and continue doing these things, for by doing these you will save yourself and those who hear you.” (15-16)

God uses the clean. “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will become a vessel for honor, sanctified, fit for the master’s use, and prepared for every good work” (2 Timothy 2:21). No matter how expensive a gold vessel is, it cannot be used if it is ugly and dirty. However, even beings like wood and earthenware can be used preciously if they are clean. God appointed Moses, who took off his shoes to the field of holiness, as the missionary of the Exodus (Exodus 3:5). God gave the prophetic mission to Isaiah, whose unclean lips were sanctified by the coals of the altar (Isaiah 6:7-8). Unsanctified Achan, Ananias, and Sapphira were rejected. In God's greeting principle, holiness is the top priority. Because God Himself is holy. So it is written, “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Let's show progress. Here, the word progress ( , ) is a compound word of -before and -cut. Progress means to move forward by cutting off the bad habits and bad habits that have become complacent in the past. We know that Paul had many spiritual struggles and struggles for holiness (Romans 7:18-8:2). He finally told Timothy, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).

Dear saints!

The status quo is a sin. "...Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life" (Revelation 2:10). The missionaries are those who do not think about the next lane and run only the best. Keerkegol said this saying, "God is absolute, so He wants to deal with Him absolutely." Second place in battle is death. Likewise, second place in spiritual battle is destruction. So Paul always wanted the best. “Aspire ye to greater gifts, and I will show you the best way” (1 Corinthians 12:31).
