Title [Deuteronomy 16:13-17] Thanksgiving Day
1. He was told to keep the feasts before God (15).
This means to make it a season of thanksgiving to God. There will be many people who have worked hard while farming, but when they say that it should be a season of thanksgiving to God rather than a festival that ends with celebration and celebration, it means to acknowledge and thank God that God has blessed us and we are able to bear fruit.
This is faith. The origins of Thanksgiving, which we observe today, are also the same. 102 Puritans arrived in the New World (USA) and 44 people lost their lives in the first year of harvest. The origin is that after harvesting and farming with the help of the Indians, they were so moved and thankful that they gave thanks to God (1621). The Korean church has been observing this Thanksgiving Day since 1904. God makes both rich and poor (1 Samuel 2:7, 1 Chronicles 29:12). Since he is the master of all material things (1 Chronicles 29:11), we can receive and enjoy it because the Lord gives it.
If we live righteously before God and live a life of sincerity and diligence in the given workplace, there will be no hunger. The current economic crisis can never be a crisis for sincere believers. This is because if you strengthen your faith and restore a life that is worthy of the Lord's will, you will receive greater blessings. I hope that all the saints will keep the Thanksgiving before God and express their gratitude for the grace given to them.
2. According to the blessings God has given us, we are told to offer gifts according to our strength and to keep the Thanksgiving Day (17).
3. He told them to keep the Thanksgiving Day with joy, confident that God will bless them in the future (15).
Some people may never be grateful and have no joy because of the hardship they are experiencing. But God said, “He will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you may rejoice completely” (15). Faith is looking forward and rejoicing. Gratitude cannot exist without joy. We hope that all our worries and worries will disappear from our hearts. I wish you peace and joy. I hope that we will become believers who not only count the blessings He has given us, but also give thanks to the Lord in anticipation of the blessings He will give us. Colossians 2:7 says, “Stand strong in the faith and overflow with thanksgiving.” I hope that all the saints will overflow with thanksgiving in the assurance of the blessings that will be given to them. On this Thanksgiving Day, I hope that all the saints who sincerely thank the Lord will receive greater grace and blessings from the Lord.
