What will we do in the last moments of our lives? When you die, what is the most meaningful thing you can do for those who remain? According to one survey, it is said that ‘I’m sorry, I love you’. Moses blesses those who remain at the last minute. Let's take a look at the blessings we prayed for.
1. God the King (verses 1-5)
First, Moses sings of God who came down in glory from Mount Sinai and proclaimed the covenant. After exodus from Egypt, the Israelites arrived at Mount Sinai after three months and received the word of the covenant, including the Ten Commandments. In this way, a covenant relationship between Israel and God was formed. The essence of the covenant is God's love. Now all the people of Israel were placed at the feet of the King, God. He became the object of his word. Likewise, we have become God's covenant people in Christ. Through Christ we became His children and became an inheritance. All of this was done out of God's love. Moses blesses the twelve tribes based on that love relationship.
2. Blessings on Reuben (v. 6)
The blessing that came to Reuben was that he never wanted them to perish. The tribe of Reuben inherited the plains east of the Jordan. This area was subject to attack by foreign nations. From that point of view, it is a very important issue for the species to be preserved without diminishing. But Reuben had to feel regret. Because he was deprived of his birthright for defiling his father's bed. What is more important than the status of the firstborn by blood is to obtain and keep the spiritual birthright. We must be careful not to lose precious privileges by folly.
3. Blessings on Judah (v. 7)
Judah was the fourth son of Jacob. Judas was the name Leah gave to confess that she was no longer dependent on her husband and that she was living a life that was pleasing to God alone. Jacob blesses the kingship of Israel to the tribe of Judah. Perhaps during the process of reunion with Joseph, he admired the heart of Judas, who volunteered to be taken hostage on behalf of Benjamin. Moses also blesses that all the people will go to the tribe of Judah, and that the tribe of Judah will be the leader of the people. This blessing was later fulfilled by the coming of King David from the tribe of Judah. In addition, the Savior Jesus Christ who saved mankind is also descended from the tribe of Judah. We are the spiritual tribe of Judah. God will save the nations and protect them through us.
The blessing of Moses is also a prophecy that goes beyond simple blessings to the twelve tribes. Subsequent Israeli history shows that this prophecy is being fulfilled. God has a plan for all of us, and all of His plans will be fulfilled.
<Prayer>
1. May God's will and plan for us be fulfilled!
2. Let the district revive and make efforts to gather!
3. Heal the weak patients and lead them to the place of worship!
