Sermons for Preaching

Title Discipleship (2)/Acts 1:8

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, beings of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

baptize them with the name of God, and teach them to observe all that I have commanded you.

“Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world” (Matthew 28:19-20).

In the previous chapter, we looked at this statement in terms of the absoluteness of the content we have, the authority we have in the matter of content that only we have, and the responsibility we have for teaching.

Today's question is, 'Why did the Lord make a demand to teach?' Let's look at the aspects. What does it mean to teach? Education is largely divided into two things. One is to maximize capacity and the other is to give judgment.

An important goal of education is to expand what he has, and even to give him the judgment to leave it to him how and when to use it. So, in the word to teach, it is implied that the learner is a being who is valued equal to and independent of the educator.

We have a lot of misunderstandings about the most important part of this statement: You shall be my witnesses to the ends of the earth. There are surprisingly many believers who think that I am consumed for the sake of God.

Hidden in the word to teach is that God's ultimate concern is our happiness, our perfection, and our glory. The expression “what to do for the Lord” is actually much deeper. If our parents have the greatest greed, aren't they more greedy for their children than for themselves? He puts all his heart into making sure that his children are well, and sometimes he is criticized, but the reason is not that he wants to benefit his children later. I just want my children to do well. That alone overflows with joy and gratitude. God's heart is like that. There is nothing that a believer can do to be virtuous to God. But it is a joy to God that the child is doing well.

In this dimension, it is necessary to look back at what purpose the Bible has for his children and believers, and what content it actually has as its core.

“You have heard it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemies,’ but I

says to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

Go, and in this way you will be sons of your Father who is in heaven, because God

He makes his sun shine on the wicked and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

What will be your reward if you love those who love you?

Is it not like this too? And if you greet only your brothers, you do more than others.

What is it? Are not the Gentiles like this? Therefore, you who are in heaven,

Be ye perfect as your Father is perfect (Matthew 5:43-48).

This is God's request. To be perfect as he is perfect, to be worthy of the name of his children. That is God's supreme goal. God does not need our help in maintaining and extending His own glory and His kingdom. What God cares the most, cares the most, and intervenes with the greatest power is to become God's children.

We must remember these words. He tells us to love our neighbors, to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us, and in verse 45 he says, “In this way, you will become sons and daughters of your Father in heaven.”

In the first place, what does it mean to become a son of God, or become a child of God? There is no other way than faith. But the text says, Love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you, and in so doing you will become sons of the Father who is in heaven. This is not the condition of salvation.

There are no conditions for salvation except belief in Jesus Christ. However, since that is the beginning of the Bible, and the reason for calling us to the cross in our sins is to create the Son of God, we can see such expressions in the Bible. “Therefore, be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” For that very purpose, God has given us this life. It is not what it is, but through it.

“Therefore, gird up your hearts and be sober, at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

Fully hope for the grace that will be brought to you, as ye obedient children.

Do not take as an example your lusts, which you pursued when you were ignorant, but only in the holy

As it is written, Be holy in all your conduct, for it is written, I am holy.

Be holy too.” Judging each person according to their deeds, not by outward appearance.

ye call him Father, so fear your sojourners

Stay (1 Peter 1:13-17)"

Because God is holy, He also requires us to be holy. Because you are a child of God. It must be remembered that we are asking for status, level, and essence, not from the functional level, means, or work level to do something for God. However, he said that he does not judge by appearance, but judges each person according to their actions.

Here, the act does not refer to the achievement of doing something, but an external expression of one's level. He has a plausible face, but that's not enough. It doesn't mean practice, it's 'he' that appears after trying.

If you are a believer, you must be at a level where you can be seen as a believer through your skills. It is not enough to follow others and follow them. It is said that he is the person that shows his skill when he touches it. That is, you judge each person according to their deeds, not by their outward appearance.

As if by memorizing the multiplication table, we must first memorize the contents of our lives and then practice them. you have to practice If you hit him on the right cheek, he tells him to turn the other cheek as well. you have to practice After all, isn't the problem we face in our life of faith being slapped on the right? However, if you force a duck, you have to go ten miles.

“Whatever man is, the Lord is great, so that he sets his heart on him and disciplines him every morning.

And do you test me every minute? You do not turn your eyes away from me;

How long will you not let me go, even to swallow my saliva?

O you, if I have sinned, what harm can I do to you?

Have you made yourselves a burden for supper? Why did You make my transgressions a burden?

do you not forgive me or take away my iniquity?

Now I will lie down in the dust; the Lord will seek me diligently, but I will not be there.

(Job 7:17-21)"

These are the words of Job's complaint that he could not endure suffering. Job is right. If someone like me were good at something, what good would it be to God? If I can't do it, what will be the harm to God? It's annoying to have to go through them all.

Faith isn't just about going the way we want to go. No one goes down this road without being beaten. It is also not correct to say that we are unconditionally wrong because we are afraid of being beaten. That is because the error is not corrected at all. People are not beaten, and there is nothing that just naturally enters the head without going into each word. So difficult.

Now we have the identity of our faith, our address, our phone number, our name. To call God Father, to call Jesus Christ Lord, to pray, and to have faith in the cross, that is our nature, our address, and our resident registration. It doesn't score. We are placed in the field of life and life in which God has called us as His children and is now teaching, guiding, interfering, and training us toward that perfection.

We don't score by writing names. So now specifically, we have to pass these exams.

“You do all bitterness and wrath and wrath and clamor and slander with all malice.

Forsake one another, be kind to one another, have compassion, forgive one another,

As he forgave you in Christ, therefore, as beloved children

Be ye imitators of God, just as Christ loved you, so

Walk in love, who gave himself up for us as a fragrant sacrifice

and livestock offered to God. Fornication and all uncleanness and covetousness are among you.

Do not call even his name in Esau, for it is fitting for saints.

Silver or slanderous words are not appropriate. Turn around and say thank you.

Knowing this for sure, the fornicators and the unclean and the covetous are idolatry.

all who will have no inheritance in Christ and in the kingdom of God, whoever speaks in vain

do not deceive you with this, so that the wrath of God is wrath for the sons of disobedience.

Therefore, do not be partakers with them, for you were formerly

It used to be darkness, but now it is light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

in all goodness and righteousness and truth” (Ephesians 4:31-5:9).

This is the multiplication table of the believer, so you must memorize it. Many applications arise from this. Put away bitterness and wrath and wrath and clamor and slander, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, have compassion, love, give thanks, forgive, consider others better than yourself, do not repay evil for evil, but overcome evil with good.

not from the beginning But let's start and work hard. Don't just do the right questions, but do more of the wrong ones. Let's do what the Bible says. Let us be determined to act as children of light. this is the multiplication table Expand your spiritual personality by memorizing it. It has to go deeper and higher.
