◎Genesis 1:29-30 ◎Explanation of Genesis (23) - Separated rice bowls
When you go up to the roof of the chapel building, there is a doghouse and a large bowl of rice lying next to the doghouse. Why did you leave the rice bowl there? It is no different to distinguish between dog food bowls and human food bowls. If a dog eats with a human, there is no need to distinguish the bowl. However, dogs have dog bowls and humans have human food bowls. The same goes for pigs. When the owner of the house spreads rice to the pigs, he takes a bowl of human food and does not feed the pigs with food that is eaten by humans. Human food can be given to dogs or pigs, and that is to throw away food when there is leftover food. We do not provide delicious steamed rice by deliberately putting glutinous rice in a dog or pig's rice bowl, adding black beans, and adding mixed grains. Why? This is because the food bowls of animals and those of humans are distinct.
In today's text, it is written as follows. Verses 29-30. God said, “I give you all the seed-bearing plants on the face of the whole earth, and every tree that bears fruit with seed, and they will be your food. And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to every thing that creeps on the earth that has life, every green grass I give for food.” And it was so.
Verse 29 refers to the food that should be placed in a person's rice bowl. And verse 30 refers to the food that must be put into the bowls of animals. In other words, the Bible made a distinction between what humans and animals would eat from the beginning so that they would not fight over food. If animals had eaten what people ate, people would have slaughtered them all. Because it is human nature to be weak in front of food. So, in order to stop animals from eating human food, humans must have tried to stop it by any means possible. However, God has made the animals not to be afraid no matter how many or how many they multiply. Because it's wrong to eat each other. Fights happen because they fight over the same rice bowl. The food that God has given to people is vegetables and fruits of trees. What we must remember in this section is why is meat eating not recorded? is a problem. ex) meat-eating explanation
The same goes for animals. Until the fall of man, there was no law of the weak and the strong. Lions and tigers ate grass and played with deer and rabbits. However, since the fall of humans, the law of strong eating of the weak has come into existence, and in order not to die, they have come to such a miserable situation that they have to eat other animals. However, God calculated even that into the principle of creation so that the race could be preserved through the pyramid structure. But I want you to remember that before the fall of man, animals only ate green grass. Please also remember that humans did not eat meat, but lived on vegetables and fruits of trees.
So, what is the spiritual lesson that today's Word gives us? That is, we need to remember that our realm and position in this world is separate from that of unbelievers. No matter how competitive the world may be, God's people have a work to do in this world. my company! My land of Canaan! There is this. God protects it. Everyone! Don't be afraid. Don't fight unbelievers over rice bowls.
Don't show your ugly face before God to feed unbelievers. When the people of God put their mouths on the food bowls of unbelievers, there is no hesitation at all compared to the cases when humans put their mouths on the food bowls of dogs. We are God's people. God's people must eat the manna God has given them to live. We must live by eating the word of God. We must eat only the food that God has given us. You must not eat food that is full of all kinds of uncleanness and corruption. I have one to eat, and the unbelievers have another to eat.
Just as the rice bowls of animals and humans are separated, so are the bowls of God’s people and the people of the world clearly separated.
This is the conclusion of today's sermon.
God is a God of order. Through the creation of the heavens and the earth, God thoroughly distinguishes them. He separates the day from the night, the water above the firmament and the water below the firmament, the land and the sea, and a thorough distinction between what animals eat and what people eat.
God's people must live God's way. God's people must eat the rice in the bowl God has given them. God's people must put rice in their own rice bowls within the range that God allows. Just because you're hungry or because it's so delicious, you shouldn't eat everything Satan gives you. In the name of the Lord, I declare that you will live completely separated lives, bearing in mind the fact that our rice bowls and those of the world are separated just as animals and humans are separated.
A word of love-friendship! What kind of rice bowl is your rice bowl?
Isn't that a dog food bowl?
