Title Do not stumble / Matthew 11:6
Do not stumble / Matthew 11:6
Key Verse: “Blessed is anyone who does not stumble because of me” (verse 6).
Let's meditate on the text again. “Blessed is anyone who does not stumble because of me.” What does it mean to stumble because of Jesus? The meaning of the text is focused on the death of Jesus. Think about it. Where else is this great contradiction? He healed all the sick and cast out demons, and as a master of preaching, he was as popular as today's top stars. Such a person died without any power. It was also the crucifixion that was the greatest punishment at that time.
Think about it. Imagine if a brilliant politician who was perfect in every way, a great leader who would come out once in a thousand years, was executed one day in the form of a humble prisoner. How many people would not stumble at this time? These words also teach us a very valuable lesson today. There are many things that we would stumble upon because of Jesus in our lives today. When a business fails while praying to the Lord, it is easy for many people to stumble because of the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, we are in an environment where it is easy to stumble. Because things don't go the way we want them to. And the Lord does not answer our lustful prayers. But help me to understand your love that cannot be compared with these things. So please don't be offended. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
