The text is the parable that Jesus spoke (verse 3), and the last of the three is called the parable of the prodigal son, and it looks more realistic than the previous two. Today is the Feast of Harvest and the Feast of Firstfruits according to the Bible (Exodus 23:26, 34:22). In the past, our country had a season of hunger called barley hill, which was a great misfortune.
1. Come and make it dent 11~16
(1) It is time to depart from God’s providence 11-12 “Verse 11 , I have two sons, verse 12 the second of them . Demanding a share of property would be in order to live independently from the father. False liberty is indulgence and an opportunity for crime, so when you can manage your material things according to God's will, you should inherit them. Because the younger son wants to spend money as he pleases and wants to do what he wants, sometimes it becomes the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Under the providence of God, when we do not use material things for good, we can come back again.
2. Becoming a normal person when you repent 17~20
(1) It is time to restore human life~ “Then he turned to himself and said…” The introduction here is “Come back to yourself,” which means restoring the life of a true human being according to the principle of creation in a life like a crazy one ( Genesis 1:26-27). “Romans 8:13, If you live according to the flesh, you will surely die; but if you put to death the deeds of the body by the Spirit, you will live.” Even though his father's household has plenty of food, he realizes that he is in need and “dies of hunger.” God has food and water that does not hunger (Amos 8:11~13, John 4:14).
(2) It is time to return to God 18~20 “Verse 18, . The person confessed, knowing that the crimes against men are against God, and saying, “I have sinned against heaven and against the Father,” is a humble and repentant life. “See verse 19, . :26), the humility of the repentant will become a thing of the past. “Verse 20, Then he got up and returned to his father…” The decisive debauchery also decisively repented. Since I prepared a full confession and there were no excuses, it is sincere repentance. “It is far away” is still far away, but the rich man had a meeting of joy, and his son was restored.

At the end of the age, when Jesus returns, death of death will occur one after another. Because almost all of them leave God without being sensible like the sane people, the barley hill may come again. However, if we receive God's intervention and live a good and godly life, restore our true human form and return to God, there will be no barley hills.
