Title Doctor's Faith

Contents

What are the beliefs of the doctors?

The first is the belief that sees the unseen. It is a faith that believes and acts as if a fact that has not yet been fulfilled has been fulfilled.

Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the evidence of things not seen.” The poet Emerson said, 'Faith is to hear the sound of the lark in advance from the lark's egg'. While studying astronomy, these doctors clearly believed in the birth of Jesus. So they followed the stars to Jerusalem.

Second, in verse 2, we read, “Where is the one who was born king of the Jews?” I did. King Herod was a Gentile who became king, but there was great confusion in his heart when he said that he was born as a king of the Jews through David's lineage. The wise men were skeptical when they said 'the king of the Jews was born', but they thought that if it were true, their position would be in jeopardy.

But the wise men clearly believed in the King of the Jews.

To believe that the King of the Jews was born is to believe that the Son of David was the Messiah. The king of the Jews is the king of peace, the king of righteousness, and the king of humility. In Isaiah 9:6-7, it is said, "He will come as the Prince of Peace." In 32:1, it is said, "He is a King who will rule in righteousness." is described as

Third, looking at the second half of verse 2, it says, “We saw his star in the east, and we have come to worship him.” But if you look closely, you don't look at his star and worship his star. Seeing and worshiping the star is idolatry. But the wise men saw the star and came to worship him. This is faith. Herein lies the qualitative difference between our Christianity and idolatry.

Bowing down to any image or object other than the Lord is idolatry. But he said, 'I saw the stars and came to worship the baby Jesus Christ'. May our faith at the altar not become 'the faith that sees his star and comes to worship it'.

I have seen the stars, I have followed a man, I have followed a friend, I have come with a girlfriend I like, I have come to meet you at church, but worship is not to that person. I hope you have faith to worship Jesus no matter where you come from. You have come with a friend, or you may have come to receive money, or you may have come to borrow a book, but inflorescences must have the same faith as the wise men in worshiping the Lord.

In verse 3 there is a commotion. There is a great commotion as if a beehive was pierced. The king gathered the chief priests and the scribes of the people and asked, 'Where does the Christ come from?'

The high priests were those who specialized in the study of the coming of the Savior, but they were too negligent. There is a proverb that the closer you are to the church, the further you are from God. You can live near the means of grace and yet be the furthest away. A crippled man sitting in the temple would receive God's spiritual grace if he crossed one threshold and entered, but he was unable to do so and was sitting on that threshold for a long time. Still, the answer is easy. This is knowledge.

The high priest said it was Bethlehem, Judea. Verse 6 says, "Bethlehem, land of Judea, you are not the least among the towns of Judea. One ruler from you will be the shepherd of me and my people Israel." I memorized it like reading a textbook and reported it.

Faith is not knowledge, it is experience. Wisdom. Knowledge is not always faith. The priests and scribes knew, but did not believe. There was no emotion and no experience of the Holy Spirit.

Faith is an experience. The wise men came to experience and worship God on their own. Those far away came to know sooner. Even at church, those who live close come late. Rather, people who live far away come quickly. Also, older people come faster than younger people. The wise men from the East who studied astronomy in Persia, farther from the priests and scribes, came first. I hope we too have this kind of faith.

Bethlehem means 'house of bread'. In the Old Testament Genesis, the place where Jacob's beloved son died and built a tomb was Ephra, or Ephrathah. This means the Bethlehem Bread House. So Bethlehem is like a cemetery.

In such a cemetery, Jesus was born. The Messiah must at least be born proudly as a descendant of David in Jerusalem, but only as the son of a carpenter who was born in a poor place such as Nazareth or Bethlehem. But the wise men firmly believed that Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

Verse 7 says, 'This Herod quietly called the wise men and inquired in detail when the star appeared.' Because Herod's throne was shaken, in verse 8, he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, "Go, find out more about the child, and when you find him, come and tell me, so that I too may go and worship him." This is a very high craft. Herod's vicious conspiracy, disguised as piety, is revealed.

Verse 9 says, 'When the wise men come and listen to their words and go away'. When I went, I listened to the king and went. In verse 12, there was an instruction from the Holy Spirit, 'In a dream, do not return to Herod'. The voice of an angel. So I went back to my home country by a different route. When I went, I listened to the king's words and went, but when I returned to my home country, I listened to the words of angels and the words of the Holy Spirit.

As you live, you can hear the words of the world, money, pleasure, and the devil. Please listen only to the voice of God, the voice of God, and live according to it.

Verse 11 says, “When he entered the house, he saw the child and Mary his mother together, and fell down and worshiped.” This is worship. Worship begins when you bow down and worship the baby. The important thing in this worship service is that gold, frankincense, and myrrh were offered as gifts. Offerings were made during worship.

They bowed down and worshiped and offered three treasures: gold means faith, frankincense means love, and myrrh means hope. Gold is an immutable valuable and symbolizes the kingship, human rights, and humanity of Jesus. Yuhang is an expensive perfume that symbolizes love and signifies the divinity of Christ. Myrrh is a wish, used as an antiseptic applied to the body or used as an anesthetic in surgery. These are the three offerings made to the Lord.

There should be worship in our worship as well. And it is true worship only when there is an offering. Faith is giving these three things to God.

When the wise men went, they turned back the other way. Herod wanted the wise men to return to him, but the wise men returned at night after receiving a revelation from an angel. This way is not the way of death, but the way of life. It is the way of truth, not the way of corruption. A life changed from complaining to gratitude, from doubt to faith, from evil spirits to the Spirit, from despair to hope, from hate to love, from evil spirits to the Spirit, from stubbornness to humility, from selfishness to altruism. is to live. This is the doctor's belief.

I hope that we too, do not become crippled believers, but become the bearers of faith entering the mature temple.

Verse 10 says, “When they saw the stars, they rejoiced the most.”

There used to be a certain high-spirited gangster boss. There is no such thing as a thug boss. A thug is a person who regards his or her life as a gang. But one day, this gangster got drunk and said that the broad road was too narrow, so he staggered and came to his house. Then the early morning choir singing was heard. The fire of faith was kindled in the gangster's heart. The high-pitched mantle has changed.

When you do evangelism, there are some people who say you have to go, don't go, and believe. However, those who are just against it, burn books for going to church, shake their heads, and pretend to believe in Jesus faster. You can find out by doing evangelism. You can see why even if you look at a cast iron or a sickle.

In hymn 427:2, it says, "Your arm does not see me, and the true wonder of receiving your great blessing is with the Spirit of the Lord. Even though we walk the narrow path, we do not rejoice during the day, but also rejoice at night because the Spirit of the Lord is with us."

There are many voices in the world, but the voice of the Lord is the best. There is no greater joy than the voice of the Lord. I have come before you with a happy heart, so please give me great blessings. I pray that the faith of those doctors who rejoiced when they saw the stars overflows in the hearts of the saints who come before the Lord today and praise the Christmas.

When I was in elementary school, I was so happy when I bought new rubber shoes that I couldn't sleep at night. Like this, I hope that you will become those who cannot sleep because they want to go to the altar of the Lord. I went on a school trip when I was in the sixth grade of elementary school, and I stayed two nights because of how high my expectations were. I can't wait for the Lord's Day like this, and I can't wait until Sunday, so on Saturday, I'm looking for something to help.

In the name of the Lord, I pray that the faith of the doctors who rejoice the most when they see the stars will overflow in our members today. *
