Today is a lucky day. I'm trying to tell a dog story. A mother who had only given birth to six daughters and thought she was a sinner was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver 20 years ago. I heard the doctor said that I couldn't last more than 3 years, but I got my life extended until my youngest daughter graduated from high school and college. One day, I was diagnosed with end-stage cirrhosis of the liver. Doctors were surprised if they couldn't figure out how he was still alive. Please let the youngest daughter live until high school. Please let me live until I graduate from college. He said he lived and prayed. The doctor said to her mother, “I have lived through life for 20 years, so live until my youngest daughter is married. And buy it until you see your grandchildren.”
The value of marriage is not that adults produce children, but that children make adults. Children make adults. What a woman becomes a woman comes from becoming a mother.
Today's topic is “Dog Stories”. Jesus compared the woman to a dog. It's not a mutt, it's a "famous dog" It is a great mother who has become a dog for a sick child and a demon possessed child.
Dogs have excellent hearing.
Dogs listen well. Humans are not as good as dogs when it comes to listening. If you hear too much, your eardrums will burst. However, dogs hear high notes that humans cannot. They can't hear very soft sounds, but dogs can hear very small sounds. Dogs can hear sounds four times greater than humans. Also, if you can't tell from which side the sound is coming from, the dog knows the direction it is coming from. I know whose footsteps it is. Hearing the footsteps of the owner, he wags his tail in advance. It barks at the footsteps of thieves who do not know it during the day. A dog's hearing is "loud" and "clear" in ways that humans can't even imagine.
The woman Jesus compared to a dog is a Greek and is said to be a Syrophonic (verse 26). He is a man of good ears. Verse 25 says that “a woman heard about Jesus” and came to Jesus. Rumors are rumors that go around.
A woman with a hemorrhage suffered from bleeding for 18 years. One day, when he heard about Jesus, he had faith that he would be healed if he just touched the hem of his robe. He was instantly healed the moment he touched the hem of Jesus' robe.
Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee received the nickname “Listen” from his father, Lee Byung-cheol, and passed it on to his son. It shows how important it is to listen. King Solomon asked God for wisdom. That wisdom is to listen and listen to the word of God.
Rumors are familiar to everyone, but the woman accepted the rumors of Jesus and made them believe. Make your ears believe. Faith comes from hearing (Romans 10:17). The ear is the path and passageway connected to the heart. The rumor of Jesus entered and created faith. The Christian life requires learning to listen rather than learn to speak. I hope that you will become listeners and ears that listen like dogs.
Dogs have a good sense of smell.
There is a saying that even a dog's nose does not know. There is also a proverb that says, “I am lucky to have two nostrils.” This is the sound you make when you are very frustrated and full of energy. Dogs have a well-developed cerebrum and have an excellent sense of smell, the sense of smell.
Comparing the brains of men and women, women's brains have better senses. 64% of women passed this foreign service exam. Even in schools, when looking at the gender ratio of teachers, women are overwhelming. The 21st century is the age of emotion. Women's unique senses stand out in each field and lead the era.
Smell is the most sensitive of the dog's sense organs. It is said to be 100,000 to 1 billion times smaller than what a human can smell. Dogs recognize everything by smell. It also finds food by sniffing it through its nose. It follows the scent to a very distant place. Puppies can smell from the moment they are born, when they can't see their eyes. Dog noses are instinctively superior. It can detect and distinguish between 500,000 different odors.
The Syrobongae woman is not an ordinary person, but a person with a very developed sense of smell. Look at verse 24. “Jesus got up and left there, and went to the region of Tire, so that no one would know, but he could not hide it.” The woman's intuition made her feel where Jesus was.
Dogs don't have horns.
There is a saying that there are no dog horns. It expresses what you have and what you don't have. “Then a woman who had a young daughter possessed by an unclean spirit heard the word of Jesus, and immediately came and fell at his feet” (verse 25). He has no pride and no face to build. The horns represent power and authority, victory and glory (Psalm 18:2).
A woman is a Gentile despised by the Jews. He is now being treated like a dog and is lying down like a dog before Jesus. To the poor woman who was begging her to “cast out the demon from her daughter,” Jesus said, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs” (verse 27).
You say. If there were horns, I would not have been able to endure it while listening to such words. But he has no horns to resist.
“A fool shows his anger at once, but a prudent man endures shame” (Proverbs 12:16). It is because he had respect and trust in Jesus that he did not run away thinking that his self-esteem was hurt or that he felt bad. The only thing you lose by being polite is losing your seat on a crowded bus. Even though she was treated like a dog, the woman was polite and was able to save her demon-possessed daughter. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. May you become a humble believer and a hornless believer who receives grace from the humble.
A dog has a tail.
The tail is attached to the back of the body, not the front. However, the tail also determines the value of the head and body. Sometimes the tail is life. Imagine a peacock without a tail. The peacock becomes worthless. It is valued because it has a tail.
A dog without a tail cannot show kindness. Dogs show kindness with their tails. There is a Mongolian proverb that says, “A dog's tail has a soul.” Kindness from the soul convinces even those who are not persuaded by eloquence. There is a Jewish proverb that says, “It is better to be kind than to be smart.” A kind heart is a powerful force. Kindness is warm and friendly. Kindness wins people. A person with a large bowl finds it a pleasure to show favor and kindness to others. A smile, kind words, and little cares are trivial things, but they have the potential to get you through the hurdles of life.
To be kind is to be gentle and warm. Being warm and gentle with the person you meet will make life easier. Kindness is a universal language. Dogs can't talk, but they wag their tails. I don't know how much I laughed when I saw a dog that one day wags its tail that wags its hips. The reason people like dogs is because of their tails. That's the reason why there are so many dogs.
Dogs bark well.
犬吠, there is a saying that It says dog barking. The woman is crying out to Jesus like a dog. “He prayed that the demon would be cast out of his daughter” (verse 26). In the Gospel of Matthew, “a Canaanite woman came out and shouted, “Son of David, have mercy on me, for my daughter is terribly possessed with a demon” (15:22), Jesus did not answer a word at that time.
“…it is not right to throw the children’s bread to the dogs” (verse 27). “Yes, Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the crumbs that children used to eat” (verse 28).
A woman is a person who can speak. First of all, I admit that it is in the words of Jesus. Words do not rule people, but those who listen carefully will rule people. Women don't just listen, they listen to each other. This is what a great talker looks like. In Pungmulnori, the jijanggu enhances the atmosphere and excites you. A counter-intuitive response is that what you say is correct.
The woman “supplied” and “shouted” so that her daughter could be freed from the demon-possessed and become healthy. In the sound of the woman's cry, the mother's pleading wishes are mixed with love. The woman listened to Jesus. He admitted that he was right. In the end, Jesus listened to the woman. If I listen first, the Lord will listen to me.
When you encounter a storm at sea, you have to choose between three things. The first is to quickly turn the bow and run away. However, this method does not work. You cannot run faster than the speed of the typhoon. Second, turn the bow left or right. But this doesn't work either. Neither is a windless place. Third, rush towards the typhoon with all your might. The third is the only way. When you're in trouble, don't panic, just face the problem. Breaking through with a head-on breakthrough is the way of life. It is best to come to Jesus.
The Syrophoenician woman had the courage to hear the gospel and come to Jesus. He endured shame and was treated like a dog, but he did not feel sad. Claiming the right to be sad makes you sad. A true strong man is a spiritual strong man. “Lord, it is right, even the dogs under the table eat the crumbs that children used to eat.” These words moved Jesus. “Go back now that you have said this.” There are some words that demons leave. It is a word of faith. “Woman, great is your faith, it will be done as you wish.” From that hour on, his daughter is healed.” (Matthew 15:28) He changed his destiny with one word. It became the miracle of moving mountains and throwing them into the sea. “Jesus said to him, “Go back, because the demon has gone out of your daughter” (verses 28-29).
