Title Don't Be Optimistic About Humans
John (4) Do not be optimistic about humans (John 1:10-13)
<Change is possible even if it is difficult>
One day, the scorpion was trying to cross the river, but the river was blowing and they couldn't. So, I spit on a nearby frog. “Frog! burn me.” The frog asked. “Scorpion! If you bite me on the back when I ride you, I will die, how will you ride me?” Then the scorpion appealed to the frog's reason. “Frog! Think about it. If I bite you, I will die on your back, so how am I going to bite you?”
Thinking rationally, he was right, and the frog burned the scorpion. And when they crossed the river and came to the middle of the river, a scorpion suddenly bit the frog's neck. In the end, they both drowned, when the frog was dying and biting. “Scorpion! Why did you ask?” Then the scorpion answered. “Scorpions are originally biting creatures!”
In life, that is often the case. Even though I know that if I bite, I will die together, but I try to bite. It is difficult to change people like that. How many times have you actually made a good decision not to do something? But a few days later it does it again. So there is a hymn that you must sing after wasting money, time, and energy. “After disappointment and disappointment, I come to Jesus.”
It is difficult to change people. So there is also this proverb. “If the mountain moved, believe it. But do not believe that people have changed.” So can people never change? no. Anything can be changed in God. How terrible would it be if a person had to live their whole life in the wrong shape of the present without the possibility of change? Without God there is no change, but with God there is change.
<Don't be optimistic about humans>
If you believe in Jesus, your status will change as a child of God (verses 12-13). That change of status is followed by countless other blessings. What blessings follow? First, we gain eternal life. If you can't get eternal life, it's no use getting everything else. Second, find peace. No matter how difficult circumstances unfold, our hearts will not waver. Third, the possibility of change arises. There is nothing more precious than the fact that a person has the potential to change.
Now accept the Lord completely. The world says, “Become! It can be done!” and it is not possible, but God makes it even impossible. Man usually divides people into “haves” and “haven’ts,” but God divides people into “those who have received the Lord” and “those who have not received the Lord.” Accepting the Lord and not receiving the Lord are as important as life or death. Even if you have accepted the Lord, in real life, ‘being in God’ and ‘being outside God’ are as important as life and death.
We do not know how weak a person can be without God. One stuntman jumped off Niagara four times and survived, earning the title immortal. But while walking down the streets of Manhattan, New York, he slipped on a banana peel and died. No one is sure of life. Humans seem to be the smartest, but often become like the stupidest beings. In fact, how prevalent are diseases like insomnia or psychosis right now?
Often the difference between crazy people and ourselves is only a piece of paper. The Bible is not optimistic about humans. Even the saints are not optimistic. When a believer leaves God's bosom, fearful actions occur instantly. It's just a matter of time when people are affected That is why we need the Lord and must be in the Lord. The basis for a person to be changed and to live normally and healthy is only in the Lord.
