In the United States, the world's largest power, the following events happen in one day. Of the 9,077 babies born per day, 1,282 are illegitimate, with 5,962 marriages and 1,986 divorces per day. 2,740 children leave their homes every day, and 69,493 teens get sexually transmitted infections every day. A rape occurs every 8 minutes, a murder every 27 minutes, a robbery every 78 seconds, a theft every 10 seconds, a car is lost every 33 seconds. And 2,740 teenage girls get pregnant every day.
In the final stage just before each culture collapse, 11 typical behavioral patterns emerge. Among them, the rapid increase in divorces that are easily done for no reason, a decrease in the number of children, an increase in parental disrespect, a decline in the meaning of a wedding ceremony, the abolition of the prohibition of adultery, an increase in difficulties in raising children, a rapid spread of juvenile delinquency, and the generalization of various sexual perversions. It will be directly related to your home.
“Flee from fornication. Every sin a man commits is outside the body, but the fornicator sins against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:18).
There was a story like this before Germany was unified. It is said that once, a dog from East Germany crossed the line and came down to West Germany. A very brave dog. So, a West German dog met a dog from East Germany and asked.
"Why did you risk your life from East Germany to this place? Is there nothing to eat in East Germany?" "no"
"Then why did you come? There are no houses in East Germany?"
“No,” he shook his head. The curious West German dog kept asking. "I'm really curious because you said that. Then why did you cross the line and come to West Germany like this?"
At this time, the West German dog kept asking, curious about what the dog that came over from East Germany to West Germany was saying, "It's not because there's nothing to eat in East Germany, it's not because there's no home." "It's strange. No, it's enough for us, as long as we have something to eat and a good home, what more can you ask for? "No, that's not it, in East Germany I don't have to worry about that, but I have to be able to bark at will. I can't bark when I want to, so I have to be able to live with frustration. So I risked my life to get here."
“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free (John 8:32)”
According to the results of a study of family problems by a university professor in the United States, 75% of the first unhappiness in the family is due to the violation of the 7th commandment, "You shall not commit adultery".
The most powerful religion in the world is neither Roman Catholic nor Mohammedan nor Buddhist, but it is the religion of sex. We are living in the age of the castle revolution, the age of the castle flood. In recent years, directors like Robinson, Joseph Fletcher, and Harver Cox have advocated situational ethics as a new moral philosophy, driving the world into an era of terrible sexual corruption.
① It rejects the absoluteness of sexual ethics, and the value of sex is relative, and there are some things that do not constitute a sin depending on the circumstances.
② By placing human beings in the position of the absolute and making the final decision in the situation, the human being himself becomes the final judge of ethics.
③ God made them incompetent and unnecessary. Under the unavoidable circumstances, neither murder nor adultery can be established.
1. What is adultery?
① Linguistic meaning-
0 A married person has an illegal relationship with someone of the opposite sex other than his or her husband or wife.
0 Unmarried man and woman having unmarried sex outside of marriage before marriage. This is the sin of misuse, abuse, and evil of all sexuality in the body.
② Spiritual adultery- It is an act of serving other gods (idols) other than God. (Isaiah 62:5)
③ Adultery of the heart- Jesus condemned even lust in the heart.
“And you have heard it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:27-28).
2. Why God Hates Adultery
① Destroy oneself. (1 Corinthians 6:18-20)
② It destroys happy families. (Hebrews 13:4, Psalm 51:1-12)
③ Destroy the society and the nation. (Genesis 19:1- Sodom, Gomorrah)
3. What is the way to prevent sexual offenses?
① Come to Christ, the Son of God (John 8:1-11) All of us humans are spiritual, mental, and carnal adulterers. Jesus died on the cross to atone for this sin.
② Like Joseph and Daniel, you must have a dream, set your intention, and protect yourself from the pollution of sin.
③ You should make your own family happy.
④ You must receive the filling of the Holy Spirit through the Word and prayer and dedicate yourself to God. (Psalm 119:9, Psalm 1:1-2, Ephesians 5:18, Romans 12:1-2)
Adultery degrades a person and makes him like an animal. Moreover, the adultery of men is worse than that of animals. Because some beasts maintain their chastity by their natural instincts, even without reason.
The turtledove is a chaste animal that keeps the marital relationship strong. Wherever the stork goes, it does not enter anything but its nest. According to zoologists, if a stork abandons its mate and mates with another stork, the storks will attack him and pluck the stork's feathers. Adultery defiles human honor (Exodus 20:14, Deut 5:18, Leviticus 20:10).
While Samson was defeated because he could not give up his lust, Joseph was blessed by resisting the temptation of Potiphar's wife and leading a godly life. Twenty-three thousand people died in one day when the Israelites committed adultery. This should be a mirror and a boundary for us who have met the last days.
“Let us not commit adultery with them, for some of them committed adultery, and twenty-three thousand died in one day…” (1 Corinthians 10:8-11)
The Lord said, "Be holy, because I am holy" (1 Peter 1:15), and "Everyone who hopes in the Lord purifies himself, just as he is pure" (1 John 3:3). God's will is for us to cast away sexual immorality and become pure. (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5) There is no way that we must become rich. However, believers who want to go to the kingdom of the Lord must be pure.
“You also know this for sure, that no fornicator or unclean person or covetous person, even an idolater, will have an inheritance in Christ and in the kingdom of God” (Ephesians 5:5).
Saints! We pray that all of us will receive the filling of the Holy Spirit through the Word and prayer, lead a pure life, and devote ourselves to God.
* Prayer: Holy Father God! Help us to act according to your purifying Word. Let me learn, sing, and recite from your word. Please do not depart from the Word and keep it in your heart. So, always be careful not to commit a crime. As if today is the last day of my life, I want to live a life that is not ashamed of God. Help me to live a life of a believer who is carefully wary of even the smallest sin. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
