Title Don't Worry / Matthew 6:25-34
Last time, the family of a church deacon was absent from church as a group. When I ask the children why they couldn't go to church, they don't answer. The reason is that I broke the plate while making breakfast. "I'm afraid. I have an ominous feeling. That's why I didn't send it." It tells a story that turns inside out. Some people do this to those who have joined the church for the first time. “There will be difficulties now, so be careful! Me too!” He explains in his own way. Then, those who believe for the first time will have fear first. It's really frustrating. Believers should know for sure. You have to calm down. Do you know what Jesus has given to those who believe? Peace. Not fear. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). Even when you are full of worries? He says don't worry. Why?
1. Worrying is different from the focus of faith.
2. Because anxiety is something we create.
Verses 26-28 “Look at the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them, are you not more valuable than these? do"
I care a lot about the plants in the house, but they die. But the church trees were watered and confined, but never given. But don't worry. I am confident that I will live. I do not shed tears that I will die. That said, so are we. "How much less is it you?" It's meant to be mind-blowing.
3. Worrying is a useless thing to do.
“Who of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature?” (Matthew 6:27). “If God cloths the grass of the wild that is today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, how much more is it you?” (Matthew 6:30) Propaganda reveals the long-leg complex. When you wear a school uniform, you have long legs. In fact, the motive behind this propaganda is that children are most concerned about their short legs.
4. Worry is not spiritual.
“Therefore, you of little faith, do not be anxious, saying, What to eat, what to drink, or what to wear, for all these are what the Gentiles seek, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things” (Matthew 6:31-31). 32) In fact, unbelievers should be worried. A person who deserves it. However, since a Christian has a God who takes care of him, he has no right and no reason to be sad.
1) Because sorrow is not God-given. “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
2) Moreover, anxiety is manifested in unbelief in God. “There is no peace for the wicked, says my God” (Isaiah 57:21) There is no peace with the wicked. full of concerns. 'Anxiety' is the Greek word for 'maerimno', which means 'to share one's heart'. Anxiety breaks people's hearts to pieces. It's about believing in God and making you worry.
3) Moreover, worry hurts health. There is a circadian rhythm training called biofeedback. It's about making the patient feel healed. When I trained like that, I was able to get a 20% effect. The same goes for stomach ulcers. It is said that we do not get stomach ulcers because of food, but because of the anxieties and concerns that corrode us. "A joy of the heart makes the face bright, but a sorrow of the heart bruises the soul" (Proverbs 15:13)
Jesus said, "Don't worry about your life, what you will eat, what you will drink, or what you will wear for your body. However, most of our concerns are directly related to these issues. Health problems, life problems, and honor. Everything is a matter of my life. Insurance companies make hundreds of millions of dollars thanks to people who care about things that rarely happen. Insurance companies get rich because of human concerns. As Jesus Himself said, " Can you increase your height by one cubit by being anxious?" In fact, you cannot grow one more hair by worrying, and you cannot make your hair black or white. Worrying means believing in God
I mean I can't. Jesus also said: "Therefore, you of little faith, do not be anxious, saying, "What to eat, what to drink, or what to wear, for these are all the Gentiles seek, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things," he said. To those who are anxious, Jesus' rebukes are of little faith. It is because they doubt God the Father that they become anxious. According to 1 Peter, “Cast all your anxieties on the Lord,” “Tomorrow be concerned about tomorrow, and one day’s torment is sufficient for that day.” We must leave all future matters in God’s hands. Life and death are God’s. "Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him, and he will do it for you" (Psalm 37:5).
It's not something we should be worried about. Are you going to go to God after worrying like this every day? It's really boring. The current problem of the Korean church is discipleship training. At that time, there was a need for discipleship education because of the revivalists. However, as the head grew bigger, the intellect lived, but the wildness died. In fact, in Paul's epistles, the word disciple is rare. He uses the word 'military'.' Fight the good fight of faith! Put on the whole armor of God.' Now we must be armed as soldiers. There is a concept called jihad in Islam. Muslims are immortal. Prayer is the battlefield. Although the church emphasizes prayer, it is difficult to pray for more than an hour.
We must overcome our worries through prayer.
Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” What we can understand through these verses is to pray without being anxious, but to tell God with thanksgiving. In fact, where is the fiercest battlefield? While watching the missionary service, I was able to hear the words that people in the rear should pray. However, in Exodus 17, the victory of the battle was the prayers of Aaron and Hur. The fiercest battlefield is our hearts. We change as we see. When Stephen died, he did not die with a heart of resentment. I looked to Jesus Christ. Worship is a movement that looks at Jesus. So worship is a fight, it kills me and makes me a new person
is to wear However, if you are anxious, you will be defeated in worship.
