John 19:28-30, 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Today is Palm Sunday. When Jesus entered Jerusalem, many people came out on the road to welcome Him, breaking palm branches and waving them. From this fact, this Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, is called Palm Sunday. But semantically, Palm Sunday also has an important meaning. The palm tree is a tree that symbolizes victory. Although the entry of Jesus seemed to have ended with the tragedy of the cross, since it was the event of victory over sin and the power of Satan and the resurrection, it is Palm Sunday in that it is the beginning of victory, not the beginning of suffering.

During the Holy Week that began this Palm Sunday, several important events took place.

1. Entering Jerusalem

Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem today. At that time, people welcomed Jesus as the Messiah who would save Israel. Seeing this, Jesus' heart must have been filled with sorrow. Because their welcome was not in the heart of the Lord.

The Jewish masses at that time were facing many economic and political difficulties and persecutions, so they were looking forward to the Messiah who would solve these difficulties. When Jesus entered, they welcomed him, probably because they had such expectations of him. They had seen Jesus perform miracles and had heard the rumors. So, expecting Jesus to become the Messiah, they welcomed Jesus by waving a palm branch, a symbol of victory.

But they are soon disappointed. This is because Jesus was not the worldly Messiah who could solve their physical problems right away. Jesus was the Savior of love and the Redeemer of all mankind. So the Jewish crowd immediately cried out for Jesus to be crucified.

2. The Last Supper

One of the most important things Jesus did during this Holy Week was the Last Supper. It was my usual dinner, but this day was different. He clearly taught his disciples the meaning of the cross. Right now, even the disciples did not understand the meaning. However, after receiving the Holy Spirit, the disciples came to understand the meaning of this Last Supper.

On that Passover, Jesus broke bread and gave it to his disciples. And you say

"Take this and eat it. This is my body."

Then he filled the cup with wine again and said,

“This is my blood of the covenant, which is shed for many.”

Jesus taught the meaning of the cross at the Last Supper even though the disciples did not understand it at the time.

3. Cross

Finally, Jesus was crucified at 9 am on Friday. He took away the sins of all mankind and became the sacrifice for atonement. Whether we knew it or not, whether we recognized it or not, God punished our sins and opened the way for salvation. After that, anyone who believes and acknowledges God's love and grace will receive the forgiveness of sins and the grace of salvation. For this, Jesus came into the world and took up the cross.

He was pierced for our transgressions, and he was bruised for our iniquities.

His chastisement brings us peace,

By his wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way.

The Lord has laid upon him the iniquity of our multitude. Isaiah 53:5-6

This wonderful work of grace is in this very difficult week. How could we pass this week carelessly?

Dear saints who are going through the Holy Week, I hope this week will be a week to look to the Lord who shed water and blood for us. I hope you have a week of looking at the cross. I hope this is the time when you decide to cast away all greed, lies and unbelief and obey the will of the Lord. I hope that you will love the Lord and have faith that resembles the Lord.

4. C.

Jesus spoke seven times on the cross. The words are not all in one place according to the order, but are scattered throughout the Gospels, so you need to think about the order and arrange them.

First Word / Father, forgive us. for they do not know what they are doing. (Luke 23:33-34)

Second Word / Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise (Luke 23:39-43).

Third Word / Woman, behold, your son. Behold, your mother. (John 19:25-27)

Fourth Word / I am thirsty (John 18:28)

Fifth Word / Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani (Matthew 27:46)

Sixth Word / Father, into your hands I entrust my soul (Luke 23:46).

Seventh Word / C. (John 19:30)

Here we see the last words of our Lord. He said 'everything' and it was fate. Has Jesus really accomplished it all? What have you accomplished? What did you accomplish while hanging on a tree there, looking so desperate to the human eye? In the most shameful form, in the most miserable form, in the form of a failure, in the form of weakness, in the form of a sinner, in the form of abandonment, what did you accomplish by hanging on a tree like that?

It was said that He had accomplished all the work of redemption for the salvation of mankind. The death of the Lord is not the death of a human being. It was the death of the Son of God for the redemption of all mankind. Indeed, Jesus has done it all. The Lord also accomplished the creation of all things. And for mankind who, as sinners, cannot but fall into the abyss of eternal death, you personally became a ransom sacrifice to accomplish that salvation. Because of this, the way of salvation was opened to humans who are bound by the chains of sin and are bound to die forever. The Lord has accomplished all the things that the loving God has planned to save us. So the Lord cried out. 'All!' This is not the cry of a loser. This is not the cry of a sinner. It was the cry of victory. It was a cry of joy from those who fulfilled the mission.

In this cry of the Lord, as an individual, I feel like I am receiving the homework of my life. Like the Lord, I have to live a life where everything is fulfilled.... Just as the Lord said it is all, I hope that my last words will be 'All' so happily.... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

How are you? Are you living a fulfilling life?

There are three things you must have in order to fulfill your life.

First, you must have a mission to accomplish everything. If you set your life goals in faith and have them, you will live a life that you can achieve. What would you achieve in a life without a goal?

Young people, I hope you have a real vision. I hope you have a real life goal that pleases God. Only then can you live a full life.

Elderly members, what is the goal of your life that you are achieving? I hope it is a goal that pleases God. So, when my life was over and I stood before God, I said, 'Lord, I have done the work you entrusted to me.'' With the five talents you gave me, I also left five talents.' I hope I can confess this.

Second, we can achieve everything only when we win the spiritual battle. To achieve it, you must constantly fight a spiritual battle for that goal. You have to work hard and work hard. A goal full of plans and thoughts is not a dream, but a delusion, and an empty life with nothing to achieve. In order to achieve everything, we must win the spiritual battle. In a world like the wilderness, we must hold on to the rod of faith, look at the pillar of fire that is the Holy Spirit, look at the pillar of cloud that is the Word, and move forward in order to live a fulfilling life.

Third, you must run to the end to achieve everything. To achieve everything means to run all the way to the end. No matter how tired and hard it is, no matter how difficult and difficult it is, in the midst of temptations and bad circumstances, even when you fail and fall, only those who run to the end can shout 'It's all!' Even if life is difficult, I pray that you will hold on to the word and run to the end so that your life will be fulfilled. Even when we are weary and weary, we hope that you will rise again and run to the end while looking at the God of Jachin who builds you up (1 Kings 7:21). Even when the weight of life is too heavy and you want to give up, I hope that you will become the saints who run with strength while holding on to the God of Boaz, who is the power.

I fight the good fight

I have finished my course, I have kept the faith

From now on there is prepared for me the crown of righteousness,

The Lord, the righteous Judge, will give it to me on that day.

Not only to me, but to all who have longed for His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8

The last words that Jesus cried out on the cross and was destined for -- 'It's all!'. It is a cry that only those who have won the spiritual battle can cry out. It is a cry that only those who have run to the end can shout. In one day's life, as long as one year's life, and finally throughout my whole life, 'It's all!' I wish you a life where you can cry out like this. I pray that the Holy Spirit will be with you in your life and that you will have such a victorious life.
