Title: Divine Blessing

Text: Ephesians 1:1~14

The theme of Ephesians is "the church united in Jesus Christ".

Verses 1 through 3 are greetings. At the outset of the letter, Paul emphasizes that he was made an apostle of Jesus by the will of God. Believe that I am called by God, not by man. Even if someone was evangelized and received Jesus, it is God's work.

Who is the recipient of this confident person, Paul's letter?1. First, the saints.

Saint is Saint in English. That is to say, a saint. We tend to think of the word saint easily, but when you know that the word saint is synonymous with the word saint, you will realize that a saint is not just anyone. The word Saint means "separated person". It means the distinction of saying, "We belong to the kingdom of heaven. If I die now, I will enter the kingdom of heaven."

The biggest crisis in Korea today is not the economic, political, or social crisis, but the failure of our members to become saints. If you go to church, you can become a member of the church. But you must become a saint, a set apart person. Paul wrote to these very saints.2. Then he said, "I am writing to those who are sincere."

When the people of the saints go forward in the world, they say to them that they are sincere. It means a person who is sincere and trustworthy. As in the case of Sodom, if there are only ten of these people, society will change. And the church will change.

In verse 3, we begin this long sentence with “Blessed is the blessing”, and in verse 4, verse 6, we talk about the blessing of being “chosen” from the spiritual blessing. Verses 7 to 10 are the second blessing about “redemption,” and finally, verses 11 to 14 are about the blessing of “making an inheritance.”

Then, first of all, the blessing of choice is that God has chosen us, and it is a persistent choice that does not give up on us until the end. As shown in verse 4, it is a happy blessing because you chose him to be holy and without blemish before him in love.

The second blessing of redemption is the forgiveness of sins as in verse 7. It is a spiritual blessing because it is love for mankind who have become sinners from the day God forgives them. In order to meet God, the family problem must be resolved, but through Jesus, our sins were forgiven. That's why Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me."

It is said that a person whose sins are forgiven will be given wisdom and understanding by God in his heart. The purpose is so that whatever is in heaven or on earth may become one in Jesus. Worldly wisdom is selfish and used for personal purposes, but as a spiritual blessing, wisdom is used for unity.

The third blessing, the blessing of inheritance, is that the kingdom of heaven has been inherited by the people who have been chosen and have their sins forgiven. Therefore, soon we will go to the inherited kingdom of heaven. And as in verse 13, the Holy Spirit stamped and confirmed the possession of it. You give a guarantee.

So, even when tribulation and pain come, I am not shaken because the Holy Spirit has sealed me.

Dear saints, true saints who possess the spiritual gospel, let's praise God.
