Title: Children of God
It is entirely by the grace of God that God gave His only begotten Son to save us and make us His children. The forgiveness of sins through this grace made us hate sin and showed us how great the cost of sin is through the cross. It is through God's absolute love and sacrifice that we are saved. By being saved, you become a child of God. He was completely born again and became a new person. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
Therefore, children who are children of God live as children of God. We live in this world by being saved and becoming children of God, but we live in this world as people who do not belong to this world, but we live as people of the kingdom of God. Philippians 3:20 "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ..." You are our Lord. The Lord came to this earth to not only forgive our sins, but also to teach God's people how to live in this world.
Because life is different, each person gave gifts and taught a lot about how to live according to each person, but through this time, I want to share the grace by thinking about a few things.
I. It is the blessed one.
We are the blessed ones of God's children. You are not the one to be blessed. You are already blessed. In verse 3, the Word says that he has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heaven. Because God blesses us, we are blessed. The greatest blessing among the blessings is to become a child of God.
Ex. A couple fights. The cause of the fight is scratching the gourd.
There was no rice, no meat, no fish, no side dishes, no clothes….. I was fed up with hearing that there was no such thing because I constantly scratched the rip off. So, from now on, instead of saying there is nothing, we are fighting by saying that there is only one thing, say that there is no money, and that there is no money. It makes sense. If there is money, what is left is a solution. That's right. I know that we should have great and small blessings. However, please believe that as long as there is the blessing of the children of God, all that remains will follow as a bonus. Even to Abram, the father of faith, 'You will be a blessing.' Proverbs 16:20 'Blessed are those who trust in the Lord.' He made promises throughout the Bible. Those who accept this promise and make promises to me will be blessed and will be blessed. It is a spiritual blessing from heaven to all who believe in this fact that we have become children of God.
II. It is meant to glorify the glory of God.
Verse 14 - This is to be the guarantee of our inheritance, that we may redeem what we have obtained, to the praise of his glory. Children are the ones who glorify their parents. Psalm 127:3 'Children are an inheritance from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is his reward' All of God's creations are revealing the glory of God. Nevertheless, God wants to be praised by the people he has saved. Psalm 19:1- 'The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows the works of his hands' It is said that the wrath that falls on humans is revealed to those who block the glory of God. Romans 1:18 - "The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold back the truth in unrighteousness." Therefore, God has cast them over to uncleanness according to the lusts of their hearts.
III. The children of God are always accompanied by the Holy Spirit.
Dear saints! We are all children of God. Therefore, I bless you in the name of the Lord that, as those who have been blessed, you give all glory to the Lord and become saints who walk with you.
