Title Ephesians 02:19-22 Building the Church

Contents

Text: Ephesians 2:19-22

Subject : Building a Church

1. The theme of the summer Bible school starting this week is "The Church of Jesus is so beautiful!"

It is a valuable opportunity for children who are learning about the Christian faith to think and learn together about 'what a church is'.

When it comes to what a church is, adults, like children, must learn and refine what is right.

There is a visible church and an invisible church.

It is like a home divided into a house and a home.

The visible church is the building - the building plays a vital role in shaping and preserving the essence of the church.

The church building as a visible church reveals the content of faith within it.

Western medieval church buildings silently proclaim to the world the spirit and confession of the church.

Buildings of the Middle Ages (Gothic): The 11th - 12th centuries were the heyday of the Western Middle Ages and the Church.

Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, Sartre Cathedral, etc.

So, we aim for a bright, colorful and high sky.

The heart of the Gothic style is the sky-high spire and large rose windows.

The brilliant light coming through the stained glass decorated with various colors makes you feel the blessings of heaven.

We tried to project the belief of God's high grace and splendid glory on the building.

The invisible church is the nature of the church - the content, atmosphere, determination, sharing, etc. of our confession of faith.

2. The church is a church that is coming toward the completion of the kingdom of God.

Philippians 3:12 "Not that I have already obtained it, nor that it has been made perfect, nor that it has been made perfect. But I am pursuing to seize that for which Christ Jesus took hold."

Not all churches on this earth are perfect.

Whether it is a 50-year-old church, a 100-year-old church, or a 2000-year-old church, all are growing and maturing to form the perfect body of Christ.

So, our church is also 10th anniversary this year, but we are building a church until the kingdom of God is established - these days, members do not register if the church is under construction or if they collect building donations.

It is said that only when the building is completed, the debt is paid off, and the donation is made, the registration is made.

Our church building donation - It's hard to give it a name like that, because someone might think it's about to build.

When we move in, we want to collect and pay the interest on the loan with our own hands.

However, it's awkward to call it an interest offering, so I'm just calling it that.

3. Conditions for Building a Perfect Church

1) The foundation must be strong.

If the foundation is weak, it cannot last long.

You have to dig deep and build a strong foundation in various ways.

A church founded on Jesus Christ - the church is, after all, a community of faith.

The essence of the church is faith - Jesus is the cornerstone - the foundation stone.

Without love for Jesus, confession of faith, and passionate devotion to the Lord, the church collapses.

Our church is strengthened when each of us stands firm in our faith and love for the Lord.

What is the love quotient for Jesus in me?

If there is anything to love more than the Lord, it is an idol, and it corrodes the foundation.

As the purpose of coming to church is communion, material, business, social movement, etc., the more members there are, the more the church will rot from the bottom.

The motive of the church is Jesus Christ.

Only when the church stands on top of this can we move forward to a healthy church.

2) At the same time, the purpose of the church is Jesus Christ.

A church becomes a whole church when its members have the same orientation.

When members have different pursuits, the church loses focus and wanders.

Our church has rejected large churches from the start.

While peniting the reality of not being able to fulfill the responsibilities of the church in society and history,

It started with the goal of a true church that fulfills the will of Christ in history and society.

Only those who agree with this orientation, whether active or passive, should gather here.

This is not easy.

You have to constantly try to transcend yourself.

Other churches and members are usually concerned with their own health, blessings, business success, and family well-being.

We too are caught up in these problems.

- Still poor. You should also take care of your health. You have to buy a house, take care of your parents, and take care of your children. - We're struggling with 3 used.

There is a high possibility that they will be immersed in this reality and become the same self-centered faith and church.

We must have the same direction - our own lives are difficult, but we can't afford to care about others, but we move forward to establish justice and love in the name of the Lord in areas that need our touch.

It is our church that people who agree on this value that transcends me gather together to rot like a grain of wheat and bear much fruit.

Milal Church is created by people who agree with this orientation and confession.

3) It is the Holy Spirit who makes this body of Christ possible.

The Holy Spirit is the One who makes us, who live individually, connect us in detail like a thread and become one body.

The fact that the same Holy Spirit resides in the depths of each of our souls - We can form a church through the work and connection of the Holy Spirit who is present at the moment we confess that we believe in the Lord.

The invisible Holy Spirit leads us to become one in Christ, beyond our closed hearts, broken hearts that hurt others, and selfishness that keeps trying to take care of our own interests.

Only the Holy Spirit can do this.

Neither strength, skill, knowledge, nor human talent.

Only the Holy Spirit must come to us and open our lives.

4. I want our church to be built on a clear profession of faith in Jesus Christ.

I hope that it will mature into a Lord-centered church.

At the same time, I hope that the faith will not stay in the church or fall into ups and downs, but bear fruit in the society God is leading.

Society longs for the gospel, and we must go out into the world in the name of the Lord and fulfill our mission of light in the fields of education, environment, unification, human rights, and social welfare.

At least, our Milal Church is a church that always strives to go beyond itself and advance to the will of God.

A church that is convinced that Jesus Christ is our foundation,

A church that goes beyond my desires toward the will of the Lord,

Anyone who joins Milal Church must at least agree on this foundation and orientation.

Good or bad is the next question.

It is important to be able to become one on this foundation first.

If you cannot agree to this, the church cannot.

Right now, God is earnestly looking for a church that can fully unfold His will on this earth.

It is frustrating to see so many churches that come into our eyes just by turning our heads.

Among these churches, if there are only 10 righteous churches where the Holy Spirit works, our community can be renewed.

Let's make a real church - the living body of Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit, while pondering deeply about the church and each of us.
