Title: Gospel Faith

Text: Ephesians 2:8-9

1. The starting point of Christian faith is to believe in God.

All human beings have faith. There are various kinds of beliefs in the world we live in, but the most important thing is the faith we have toward the God we believe in, the Almighty, living and working God. In the Bible, humans are created in the image of God and are said to be God-dependent beings who must meet and have fellowship with God. After the Fall, man turns away from God, becomes proud, and rejects God. This is man's ignorance and fall. However, when we recognize our limitations in various problems and realities, we encounter God, we realize it, and we come to believe. Christian faith begins with the confession that 'my problem cannot be solved by my own strength'. There are many problems we face as long as we are on this earth. But when you get on a plane and go up high, you see a bigger world. Just like an airplane taking off and flying on a runway, we must charge toward God.

2. The Christian faith is a belief centered on the Triune God.

In the Christian faith, what we should be most concerned with is God's salvation. It is important to receive salvation from God, to know the meaning, blessings and secrets of salvation, and to receive salvation and live proudly is the whole of Christian faith. It is faith in God who has a great plan for our lives. It is faith in Jesus who died on the cross and resurrected for our sins, and it is faith in the Holy Spirit who enters into the spirit and is with us in those who believe. All things are in salvation, so we should hope. This is the gospel, and Christianity is the only religion of the gospel. If you know that this gospel is precious, you should know that submitting to God is the wisest thing to do. All humans have a spiritual thirst and cannot find a way to quench it.

Jesus to the Samaritan woman

(John 4:13-14) 'Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I will give him will never thirst. The water I will give him will become in him a spring of water springing up to eternal life."

(Isaiah 55:1-3) 'Come to the waters, you who thirst, and come, buy wine and milk without money and without price, why do you give silver for things that are not bread, and labor for things that are not satisfied? And you will eat good food, and your hearts will be delighted with the fatness of your heart. Incline your ear and come to me, and hear, and your souls will live.

(Isaiah 55:6-7) 'Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous from his thoughts, and return to the Lord, and he will have mercy. Come to our God Come, and he will forgive widely.”

God still calls us to forgive us and satisfy our thirst. (Mat 11:28) 'Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest' It is the gospel that calls us for true rest and tells us about it.

3. Why is the Christian faith the gospel?

I would like to talk about the most central, core gospel faith of the Christian faith. Why the Gospel? Today, we do not know that Christianity is the gospel. Both unbelievers and believers are ignorant or misunderstood the Gospel. (Mt 16:13-16) As believers, we must strive to spread the gospel by emitting the fragrance and light of the gospel.

1) The gospel saves, strengthens, strengthens, and confirms our lives.

(Isaiah 41:10) “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, yea, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

2) Man is born as a sinner because of original sin that departed from God. He was born a sinner, so he was bound to sin. Because of sin, there is no true joy, peace, or rest. However, if we believe in this gospel, the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross, we will be freed from all sins of the past, present, and future and live righteously before God. This is the life of those who know the gospel. 'Therefore, there is no condemnation for anyone who is in Jesus Christ, for the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death.' Those who believe in Jesus Christ are set free from sin and the blessing of liberation is in the gospel.

3) We have physical problems because we have a body. God is a God of healing. Jesus bore our infirmities and bore our sorrows. The fact that you came in the flesh is proof that you value our body. The gospel is that God will take responsibility for our physical problems as well if we trust and entrust Him.

4) We humans do not know the meaning and purpose of life, so we wander and cannot live a satisfying life. When you know God rightly and have a right relationship with God, you will discover the meaning and purpose of life and live a happy life. The meaning and purpose of life must be made clear through the Gospel.

5) We must know the truth. When we do not know the truth, we wander and live in chaos and ignorance. 'You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free' If you know Jesus Christ, who is the truth, you will be set free from everything that is tied to the world and you will feel true freedom.

6) The gospel is that He gave the gospel free of charge without our efforts and remuneration. Text (Ephesians 2:8) 'For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.' Through God's grace, we are saved through faith. (Romans 4:4-8) 'To those who work, their wages are not counted as grace, but as debts; but to those who do not work but believe in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness...' Whoever reaches out and receives God's precious grace and gift will be saved and are blessed.

7) The fact that Jesus Christ came into this world is the gospel of the gospel. The gospel is that God came into this world in the flesh. (Luke 2:10-11) (Romans 1:2-4) The gospel is the wonderful grace and blessing of Jesus Christ coming, dying on the cross, resurrecting, and becoming God's children through faith in Him.

4. What is gospel faith?

Knowing the gospel and believing only the gospel is gospel faith.

To know the gospel faith, you need to know some things that are not gospel faith.

1) What is the mystic belief?

Only through Jesus Christ can we meet the mysterious God. 'No one comes to the Father except through me' But anyone wants to experience and experience God directly without Jesus Christ. Excessive longing for gifts such as prophecy and tongues. Leaving the gospel, they emphasize special experiences and experiences and become proud before God. This is mysticism. Jesus is the mystery of God. Jesus said, 'He who has seen me has seen God the Father.' 'The Father in me, and the Father in me.' God and Jesus are one, and all of God's revelation is revealed through Jesus Christ. You must experience God through the gospel of knowing Jesus Christ.

2) What is the legalistic belief?

The legalistic faith has the delusion of trying to become like God and reach before God by striving for myself. It emphasizes acts of good deeds and morals. They want to go before God through the law with their own righteousness. Legalism leads to self-pride when things go well, and guilt when things don't work out. You will suffer in life. There is no body to be justified by the works of the law... We humans are fallen beings, and apart from Jesus Christ, we are neither capable nor qualified to do good. Only when we receive God's grace through Jesus Christ can we do good.

Today, churches and individuals must come before God with gospel faith, receive grace, and do things that make them happy, but because the gospel is weak, they lose their focus and lean toward mystery and legalism. Gospel faith must know and hold on to only the Gospel. The gospel is for us, and when we trust God and go forward, it becomes a beautiful gospel faith. We love the gospel so much that we must believe in Jesus and believe the gospel in an evangelical way and live as God's people. Gospel faith is the best faith God has given us. The gospel was given to make us happy, and through this gospel we are saved and live the most blessed life as God's people. I hope that you will be victorious with only the gospel faith.
