Title Ephesians 03:1-13 God's Servant 1
Contents God's servants (1) Ephesians 3:1-13
God does not call the mighty, the rich, or the noble to work according to the world's knowledge; rather, He calls them regardless of their appearance. The only thing you see is how loyal he is.
Loyalty is different from just being zealous. A faithful person means to put all of your body, mind, and will into the position of the one who called for the one who called. The kingdom of God is accomplished through such people and becomes history.
Now, let's continue to ponder about God's workers today.
1. First of all, God's workers naturally receive their wages. /
(1 Timothy 5:18) It is said in the scriptures, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it is treading out grain,” and that the worker deserves his wages.
There is no place where the president of any company does not pay salaries while hiring its employees. If it were, no one would work there. And no matter how much you want, you cannot work if your life is not guaranteed. God is at least superior to our common sense.
In Deuteronomy 25:4, a very interesting statement is recorded. “(Deuteronomy 25:4) You shall not muzzle an ox that shakes grain.” Concerned about cattle is recorded in the law of the God of Israel. For those who work, only when the supply of funds is smooth will they be excited to work.
Therefore, when we do God's work, we don't have to think, "Oh, it's no harm to me if I spend time and money to do this kind of work!" Because God never does that to ruin. It is because it is the Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth who has called us as workers.
I've never heard a voice say, "I've been so hard on God's work." Rather, as we worked hard for God's work, God blessed our family like this. You hear a lot of testimonies. There are numerous witnesses to this.
Therefore, we should not be anxious when God entrusts us with a task. Anxiety is a product of unbelief. Rather, you should pray earnestly for it. God is the sure boss and the sure sponsor. At least he's not in charge of our lives. Our only concern is to always check whether I am doing everything according to the will of the Lord.
2. God's workers must be humble.
(Ephesians 3:7) For this gospel I have become a servant according to the gift of God's grace, which has been given to me according to the work of his power (Ephesians 3:8) It was given that the unfathomable riches of Christ might be communicated to the Gentiles (Ephesians 3:9), and that the mystery of God, who created all things from eternity, might be revealed.
Paul was a servant of God who accomplished many wonderful works of God. Ex) Strange miracles, the work of repentance, raising the dead. But he never attributed all of those achievements to himself. Let's read today's text carefully. In verse 7 Paul says that he preached the gospel, but his power was with God, and he only acted according to the work of God's power. This is true. And if I did something, it was not because I had an origin, but because God gave me the ability to do all those things.
3. We must work boldly in faith.
(Ephesians 3:10) This is so that now the various wisdom of God may be made known to the principalities and authorities in heaven through the church (Ephesians 3:11), according to the purpose that was foreordained in Christ Jesus our Lord from eternity (Eph 3) (Ephesians 3:13) In him, through faith in him, we gain boldness and access to God.
God's workers must also have boldness. In doing God's work, there are many times when we are faced with various tribulations. But each time you have to be bold. First, we must have boldness before God, and secondly, we must have boldness about situations. Boldness toward God is the purity of life and trust in and trusting in Jesus Christ, and courage to face any difficulties or tribulations toward the world. And behind that courage is God's approval.
We can be truly bold servants of God when we have a clear belief that God loves us and that He is pleased and approved of the things we do in the midst of difficulties.
