Title Ephesians 03:1-13 The Little Worker
content little worker
(Ephesians 3:1-13)
In Chapters 1 and 2, we looked at the secret that Paul knew. Now, from the 3rd to the last chapters, the importance of this secret, their sense of mission to deliver this secret, and furthermore, what kind of attitude the Ephesians who heard this secret should live in the future are written.
Paul says this in verse 4.
“If you read this, you will know the mystery of Christ that I have discovered.” Dear saints, did you know the mystery of Jesus Christ clearly? If you are still unsure, please review Chapters 1 and 2 again.
In the old days, only a few specific people knew the secrets of heaven. I didn't even have a chance to hear it, and even if I did, it was difficult not knowing what it meant. However, when the Holy Spirit came, the Holy Spirit explained and taught the difficult and incomprehensible content as easily as if it was shown in a picture.
Paul had a clear sense of being called to this work. Verses 7-9 describe themselves in two words. The word "worker" and "little one" are confessed. Christianity is a worker's religion. Jesus went out into the fields and said that there were no workers to harvest.
In our country, the economy is struggling right now, so there are many people to work, but there are no jobs. However, the surprising thing is that it is difficult to find people to work in a job that is still difficult, dangerous, and requires dirty work.
What's the problem?
Look at Paul again. I could have been wrong if I only called myself a worker. You could be a worker who only touches things that await a good job, praise and hospitality. He could have been working in a position of command and dominion with apostolic authority and various wonderful gifts.
But the reason why Paul didn't, or could not be, was because he had not only a "worker" consciousness, but also a "little one" consciousness. He confesses that 'the little ones are not just little ones, they are smaller than the least of the saints'.
Verse 10 begins with the word church. We are declaring that the church should now bear the work that Paul had done righteously now as a very small worker. It was Paul's urgent and intense sense of mission that the secrets of heaven would be made known "by the church now", so that he could not sit even in prison for the mission of building and organizing the church.
Thus, Paul's appearance in establishing this church was "boldness" and "assurance" as shown in verse 12. This should be the image the church should have toward the world today.
Courageous means "courageous, fearless, unafraid, indifferent". Dignity means "to have confidence, to have a point of belief, and to have something worth shouting about."
I pray that all of the saints, as the least of them, will become workers, overcoming hardships, pains, and wounds, and receive all the rewards of the kingdom of heaven.
