Title Ephesians 05:15-18 The wise one
Content The wise one (Ephesians 5:15-18)
They all have the same circumstances and the same conditions, but the thinking of the wise and the foolish can be seen from the difference in the results. Even in the parable of the ant and the guts, they all meet the same summer and winter, but compared to the ant winter, which was prepared wisely, the foolishly playful and unprepared gut faced great difficulties in winter. Since we are children of light, we want to receive grace by thinking seriously about what we must do as saints and thinking about what kind of person a wise person is through today's text admonishing us to become wise people to bear the fruit of light.
1. A person who knows how to save time is a wise person. (verse 16)
2. Those who live according to the will of the Lord are wise. (verse 17)
Do not be foolish and understand in the words “only understand what the will of the Lord” is, not knowing intellectually, but putting effort into it. In other words, those who strive to live according to the will of the Lord are wise. When we are living in the world, it is often easy to live according to our own thoughts and positions. However, those who think about what the Lord wants from me and try to live according to the Lord's will are wise. In order for a student to get 100 points on the exam, he or she can write it according to the teacher's mind. Likewise, God blesses those who live according to the heart of God who gave them problems and allowed them to live on this earth. He made David, a shepherd, king. (Acts 13:21) He gave wisdom and wealth and honor to Solomon, who was after God's heart. (1 Kings 3:10-15) The will of the Lord makes those who pray and long for the Word understand. . Dr. F.B. Meyer said, "The first thing to know about God's will is that it is not God's will that is contrary to God's Word, the Bible." The Bible is the standard of our faith and life. Therein lies the will of God. I hope you become a wise person who lives according to that will.
3. Those who are filled with the Holy Spirit are wise (verse 18).
I will finish speaking.
The world is getting harder and harder day by day. Our lives are threatened by an uncertain future. In times like these, you should be a wise person who realizes the right time, does not miss the passing time, and prepares well to stand before God. I am not a foolish person who lives appropriately according to my thoughts or position, I know God's will and strive to live that way. So, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become a wise saint who overcomes the world, Satan, and your own stubbornness and laziness with that power.
